L’ACMS recherche des candidats (H/F) hautement qualifiés pour mener les missions de Principal investigator / Research Lead dans le cadre d’un projet.
Qui recrutons-nous ?
Le Principal Investigator sera responsable de la conception, supervision et dissémination des études de recherche commanditées dans le cadre d’un projet à I’ACMS, en garantissant la rigueur scientifique, le respect des normes éthiques, et l’alignement avec les priorités stratégiques de l’ACMS.
Missions essentielles
1. Conception et planification des études
Développer les protocoles de recherche pour les études commanditées (études d’impact, recherche opérationnelle, évaluations rapides);
Définir les questions de recherche prioritaires en collaboration avec les équipes;
Concevoir les stratégies d’échantillonnage et les plans d’analyse ; Élaborer les outils de collecte (quantitatifs et qualitatifs) adaptés aux contextes pays;
2. Supervision technique et gestion d’équipe
Superviser l’équipe recherche (épidémiologiste senior, coordinateur terrain) Assurer la formation des équipes terrain aux protocoles et outils
Garantir le respect des normes éthiques et l’obtention
des certifications auprès des comités nationaux
Superviser la collecte de données et le contrôle qualité
3. Analyse et production scientifique
Superviser les analyses statistiques et la synthèse des résultats
Rédiger ou superviser la rédaction des rapports techniques et des articles scientifiques
Produire des policy briefs et des supports de communication adaptés aux décideurs
Préparer les présentations pour les conférences internationales et les réunions pour les ACMS.
4. Coordination et liaison
Assurer l’interface avec les bailleurs sur tous les aspects techniques du projet ;
Collaborer avec les partenaires locaux (programmes nationaux, universités, OBC);
Participer aux réunions de coordination et aux ateliers de dissémination.
Qualifications et compétences requises:
Être titulaire d’un Master en Santé publique option Epidémiologie/biostatistique; (8 points)
• Avoir au moins 8 ans d’expérience dans la conception et la mise en œuvre d’études; (8 points)
Expérience globale prouvée en gestion de projets, (et spécifiquement projet de) (8 points);
Expérience dans les Études observationnelles, enquêtes transversales, études cas-témoins, cohortes, méthodes mixtes (8 points)
Expérience prouvée comme Investigateur Principal pour au moins une étude (8 points)
• Maîtrise de R, STATA, SPSS; analyse de survie, régressions multiples (7 points)
Références / autres compétences souhaitées :
Avoir publié dans des revues à comité de lecture;
Expérience d’obtention de certifications éthiques;
Coordination d’équipes, gestion de budgets, reporting bailleurs ;
Rédaction scientifique, présentation orale, vulgarisation pour décideurs
Travail avec ministères de la santé, comités d’éthique, partenaires internationaux

Le Field Research Coordinator sera responsable de l’exécution des activités sur le terrain.
Missions essentielles

1.    Project context
The KOICA Phase Il project, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and implemented in partnership with UNICEF and other stakeholders, aims to strengthen local systems and governance structures to improve access to essential services for vulnerable populations.
The project focuses on enhancing education, child protection, WASH, and social services in the East Region of Cameroon, particularly in Lom and Djerem and Kadey Divisions.

Within the framework of this partnership with UNICEF, Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) seeks to recruit a qualified and motivated professional for the position of WASH Officer.
2.    Purpose of the role
The purpose of this position is to lead the field-level execution of the WASH component of the project. The WASH Officer will ensure that children find families have sustainable access to safe drinking water, dignified sanitation, and life-saving hygiene practices. The incumbent will be responsible for transforming the technical components of the UNICEF proposal into tangible field results, ensuring that all interventions are climate-resilient, gender-sensitive, and strictly compliant with both UNICEF standards and Good Neighbors’ « community-first » approach.
3.    Key Responsibilities:
     Support the implementation of the project which aims to provide children, especially those living in disadvantaged areas, with access to quality water, a healthy environment and sustainable sanitation.
     Oversee the rehabilitation of manual pump oreholes under the direct supervision of the Water and Energy Delegation to ensure access to quality water for children in disadvantaged areas
  Support municipalities in strengthening their water service management mechanisms   Establish and/or train community-based YASH Committees at the municipal and community level to ensure the long-term maintenance and sustainability of facilities.
     Lead the distribution of menstrual hygiene kits and conduct practical community-based training on the use, maintenance, and local fabrication ofhandmade reusable pads.
     Lead community-led behavior change initiatives to reduce waterborne diseases by facilitating training and sensitization campaigns on hygiene and sanitation, handwashing, for target communities

    The WASH Officer will lead the implementation of Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) methodologies, facilitating community triggering sessions to eliminate open defecation and supporting households to move up the sanitation ladder through local innovation and behavior change.
     Conduct regular field visits to monitor the quality of works and verify compliance with national technical standards
     Conduct regular field assessments to verify that construction meets engineering standards and that sensitization campaigns are resulting in measurable habit changes
     Represent Good Neighbors Cameroon in meetings and coordinate closely with local government technical services (Delegations of Water and Energy, Health, and Basic Education).
4.    Required Oualifications
     A Master’s Degree in Rural Engineeripg, Sanitary/Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or related technical field.
  At least 5 years ofprofessional experience in implementing WASH projects in a humanitarian or development context in Cameroon.
     Proven experience in designing, tendering, and supervising contractors for the construction/rehabilitation of boreholes (solar-powered or manual)

  Strong practical experience in Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS), with the ability to personally lead « triggering » sessions that result in measurable behavioral change.
     Ability to coordinate the logistical management of kit distributions and the oversight of training/sensitization modules on the topic
  Ability to design and lead community awareness campaigns on water safety, handwashing, and environmental hygiene using different approaches
  Skilled in evaluating technical bids, verifying the quality of construction/rehabilitation materials and ensuring all works meet National and UNICEF/KOICA standards.
     Experience engaging with local Water Point Committees and Municipal authorities to ensure the long-term maintenance and financial sustainability of water points.
     Fluency in French and working knowledge of English. Knowledge of local language(s) of the duty station is an asset.
     Experience working in a similar context or with similar stakeholders (government, communities, etc.)
  Must be ready and available to travel in places that the project is being implemented.

I. Project context
The KOICA Phase Il project, funded by the Korea nternational Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and implemented in partnership with UNICEF and other stakeholders, aims to strengthen local governance systems and improve access to essential services for vulnerable populations.
The project focuses on enhancing education, child protection, WASH services and social services in the East Region of Cameroon, particularly in Lom and Djerem and Kadey Divisions.

Within the framework of this partnership, Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) is recruiting a qualified and motivated Protection Officer to support the implementation of child protection activities in the project areas.
2.    Role Purpose
Working in 51 countries across the world, GNCMR aims to reach marginalized children and communities through high-quality programs that offer sustainable benefits and improved livelihoods. As a key member of the Good Neighbors Cameroon humanitarian team, the Child
 
Protection Officer is responsible for ensuring that the rights of the most vulnerable children in the East Region are protected in line with the project. The officer will lead interventions to prevent and respond to abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence against children, focusing on both refugee and host community populations. The goal is to build a protective environment where children can thrive, ensuring that child protection is mainstreamed across all other project sectors.
 
3.    Key Responsibilities:
Child Protection Program Implementation
     Support the implementation of child protection activities in targeted communities.
     Identify vulnerable children and families in need of protection services.   Support the establishment and strengthening of community child protection committees.
Case Management
     Conduct case assessments for vulnerable children.
     Develop and follow up individual case management plans.
     Refer children and families to appropriate social services and protection mechanisms.
Community Awareness and Prevention
     Facilitate community awareness sessions on child protection, birth registration, child rights and prevention of violence against children.
     Promote safe and protective environments for children in communities and schools.
Coordination and Referral Mechanisms
     Coordinate with local authorities, social services, health services and education authorities.
     Strengthen referral pathways for vulnerable children.
Monitoring and Reporting
     Maintain confidential case management records.
     Support monitoring and evaluation activities related to child protection.   Prepare regular weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Representation and Coordination     
     Represent Good Neighbors Cameroon in relevant protection coordination meetings.
     Work closely with UNICEF, municipalities and community stakeholders.
 
 
4.    Required Oualifications
     Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, International Law, or Human Rights.
     Minimum 5 years of experience in child protection programming in humanitarian or development settings in Cameroon.

   Experience working with the Ministry of Social Affairs (MINAS) and Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family (MINPROFF)
     Experience working with UNICEF or other UN agencies as an implementing partner is highly preferred.
     Deep knowledge of the Cameroonian Civil Status legislation, and international standards like the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
     Demonstrated experience in Social and Behavior Change (SBC), specifically in facilitating sensitive intergenerational dialogues with traditional and religious leaders to challenge harmful norms
  Proficiency in child protection case management and the provision of Psychosocial Support for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) or early marriage.
     Experience in managing vocational training programs, scholarship schemes, and the distribution of kits for at-risk adolescents.
     Expertise in child protection system strengthening including structuring and empowering Community-Based Child Protection Mechanisms to ensure sustainability after project closure
     Experience working in a similar context or with similar stakeholders (government, communities, etc.)
     Must be ready and available to travel in places that the project is being implemented.   Strong commitment to child-led participation and strict adherence to PSEA and Child Safeguarding policies.

1.    BACKGROUND OF GOOD NEIGHBORS AND THE PROJECT

About Good Neighbors:
Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development Organization founded in Seoul in 1991 with a presence in 51 countries worldwide including Cameroon. We are dedicated to safeguarding children’s wellbeing and promoting community led solutions for lasting impact in child protection. Guided by the principles of child rights protection, we tackle complex issues through a holistic approach in sectors like Education, Water and Sanitation Hygiene, Health, Food Security, Livelihoods and Environment, aligning with our global mission to make the world a better place where children thrive and communities flourish. In Cameroon, we work with different international partners such as the United Nations, Bilateral Donors and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges. 

2.    Project context
The KOICA Phase II project, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and implemented in partnership with UNICEF and other stakeholders, aims to strengthen local systems and governance structures to improve access to essential services for vulnerable populations.
The project focuses on enhancing education, child protection, WASH services and social services in the East Region of Cameroon, particularly in Lom and Djerem and Kadey Divisions.

Within the framework of this partnership, Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) is recruiting 02 qualified and motivated Social Workers to support the implementation of child protection and social support activities.

3.    Purpose of the role 
The Social Worker is the frontline responder responsible for identifying and managing the cases of children at risk of violence, exploitation, abuse, and neglect within the host and refugee communities of the target areas in the East Region. The purpose of this role is to provide direct, child-centered support through case management, psychosocial services, and community mobilization, ensuring that every child’s right to protection is upheld in accordance with National SOPs and UNICEF’s global standards.

4.    Key responsibilities:
Case Management and Child Protection
    Identify vulnerable children and families in need of social support.
    Conduct case assessments and develop individual case management plans.
    Provide psychosocial support and referrals to appropriate services.
Community Engagement
    Facilitate community awareness sessions on child protection, birth registration, and children’s rights.
    Support the establishment and strengthening of community child protection committees.
    Promote positive parenting and safe environments for children.
Coordination and Referral
    Coordinate with local authorities, health services, education authorities, and social services.
    Ensure effective referral mechanisms for vulnerable children and families.
Monitoring and Documentation
    Maintain confidential case management records and databases.
    Support monitoring and evaluation activities related to child protection interventions.

    Prepare regular reports on project activities and case management outcomes.
Collaboration with Schools
    Work closely with school authorities to identify children at risk of school dropout.
    Support activities aimed at improving school attendance and child wellbeing.

5.    Required Qualifications
–    A degree in social sciences, law, education or related field with good knowledge of established international child protection standards and CPIE principles;
–    At least 2 years of experience in Social Work or community development;
–    Good knowledge of community-based approaches to child protection, education, gender, and inclusion;
–    Experience in psychosocial support and community mobilization;
–    Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
–    Resident in the assigned communities;
–    Basic proficiency in computer tools and data collection;
–    Must be ready and available to travel in places that the project is being implemented;

Required Skills

–    Skills in participatory assessment, recreational activities, informal education, life skills training and sensitization on child and adolescent protection and prevention of GBV.
–    Good computer skills and basic proficiency in computer tools and data collection; 

–    Fluency in French and working knowledge of English. Knowledge of local language(s) of the duty station is a strong asset
–    Ability to network with local structures.

Duties

The Data Analyst will serve as a member of the Strategic Information (SI) Team, supporting the Ministry of Health (MOH) and its partners to accelerate HIV epidemic control through the systematic collection, analysis and use of quality surveillance, and program performance data. The incumbent will participate in collaborative meetings with multi-lateral and bi-lateral international partners to strengthen aggregate reporting, individual medical records, and laboratory information systems. The Data Analyst reports to the Supervisory Public Health Specialist (Strategic Information/SI) Team Lead and will provide assistance to the CDC country office and President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) interagency team to improve quality of data collected and its analysis and use to inform PEPFAR programmatic direction and investment.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing data analysis support for clinical program areas such as HIV prevention, adult care and treatment, maternal and child health, and tuberculosis.

Helping strengthen the country’s ability to use data for program planning, setting targets, and making decisions.

Assisting implementing partners with data entry into various databases and ensuring data quality standards are met.

Supporting program monitoring activities, including site visits and data quality assessments.

Analyzing surveillance data, including population-based surveys, and generating geospatial information to help prioritize program spending and identify gaps.

Preparing abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations for conferences and meetings.

Contributing to the development of work plans and supporting program collaborators to ensure consistency with reporting policies and timelines.

Participating in interagency technical working group meetings and national committees as assigned.

Good working knowledge of program management in support of contracts / cooperative agreements / grants is required. Thorough public health knowledge of current HIV/AIDS issues is required. Detailed knowledge of the host government health care system and structures, including familiarity with MOH policies, program priorities and regulations is required. Up-to-date knowledge on epidemiology/statistics, project data and uses of PEPFAR tools, such as DATIM and PANORAMA, for the Project's performance reporting is required. Excellent quantitative skills to be able to understand data quality, analysis and interpretation.

Skills And Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with national and international health partners are required. Ability to prioritize between competing demands and work with minimal supervision within strict deadlines. Good working knowledge of overall administrative requirements, budgeting and fiscal management in support of contracts, cooperative agreements and grants is required. Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases is required. Knowledge of statistical software packages required.

Organizational Context
African Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) is a non-political, non-religious, and non-profit NGO
with country offices in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Republic of Congo, Niger, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
AIRD’s mission is to provide operational support, particularly in the areas of supply chain, logistics,
construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods, and WASH, in partnership with humanitarian and
development organizations operating in disaster-affected or development-oriented areas.
AIRD works for and through its partners, including United Nations agencies, national and international
donors, and governments.


Position Objective
The HGSF Project Officer will supervise the implementation and coordination of the Home-Grown School
Feeding (HGSF) project implemented by AIRD in the Adamaoua or East/Centre regions of Cameroon, in
partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP).
The post holder will ensure that project activities are implemented effectively and efficiently, in compliance
with donor requirements, and contribute to improving school attendance, child nutrition, and local
agricultural development in these regions.
Key Functions and Responsibilities
1. Project Implementation
• Supervise the implementation of the HGSF project in the Adamaoua or East/Centre regions in
accordance with the approved proposal, donor agreement, and AIRD policies and procedures.

• Ensure project activities are implemented on time, within the defined scope, and according to
agreed work plans and quality standards.

• Coordinate with schools, local authorities, community structures, and other stakeholders involved
in school feeding activities.
• Ensure smooth coordination of food delivery, storage, and distribution in participating schools.
• Supervise one or two field supervisors and define/monitor their weekly and monthly work plans.
2. Monitoring and Reporting
• Supervise the design and use of MEAL tools with the MEAL team and field supervisors.
• Review and validate the MEAL plans of field supervisors.
• Work closely with the MEAL Officer and field supervisors to develop and implement monitoring
tools to track project progress, results, and impact.
• Conduct monthly monitoring visits of school feeding activities to ensure compliance with project
guidelines and donor standards.
• Prepare and submit, in collaboration with field supervisors and the MEAL Officer, accurate and
timely reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) in line with donor requirements.
3. Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement
• Maintain strong working relationships with local authorities, school management committees,
community leaders, and partner organizations in the region.

• Represent AIRD in relevant coordination meetings related to school feeding activities.
• Ensure effective collaboration with AIRD departments (Finance, Logistics, Programmes, and MEAL)
to support smooth project implementation.
4. Planning and Resource Management
• Support the development and updating of project work plans and activity schedules.
• Ensure efficient use of project resources in line with approved budgets and donor requirements.
• Identify potential risks affecting project implementation and propose mitigation measures.
5. Other Responsibilities
• Support, in collaboration with local technical authorities, capacity-building of school authorities and
community members involved in school feeding activities.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Coordinator or AIRD management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• University degree in Education, Agriculture, Nutrition, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a
related field.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in project implementation, preferably in Home-Grown
School Feeding, food security, or education programmes.

• Experience with NGOs, humanitarian organizations, or donor-funded projects is an asset.
• Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) required.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in remote or field environments.
• Good knowledge of the Adamaoua and East/Centre regions is an advantage.
