We are looking for two (02) temporary workers for monitoring Biochar experiments in Mintom. 1. Context and justification In the locality of Mintom, where aging cocoa plantations and degraded soils threaten agricultural sustainability, NetZero and WWF are launching a restoration project using Biochar. This initiative aims to revitalize distressed lands by incorporating Biochar, a sustainable organic amendment, to enhance soil fertility, increase agricultural yields, and promote environmental resilience. For the trial phase, five experimental plots will be established in the locality of Mintom. The objective is to sustainably contribute to the improvement of agricultural soil fertility for quantitative and qualitative production of cocoa plants.” Specifically, the objectives are to: – Evaluate the impacts of biochar on soil quality improvement – Evaluate the impacts of biochar on cocoa yield improvement
Assessing the impact of biochar use on improving the economic profitability of cocoa farming – Promote and disseminate good cocoa farming techniques. To monitor and collect relevant data, two positions are open to young people in the locality of Mintom who have the skills to perform various tasks in the experimental plots. 2. Main responsibilities – Conduct regular surveys on the experimental plots.
Call for applications restricted to the municipality of Mintom- Collect, record, and verify data according to established protocols. – Delineate and clean the experimental plots before and during the trial period. – Apply biochar in the experimental plots. – Ensure phytosanitary maintenance in the plots during the trial period. – Perform any other manual tasks in the experimental plots during the trial period. 3. Required qualifications – Possess the physical abilities to perform maintenance tasks in a cocoa plantation. – Be able to read and write one of Cameroon’s two official languages. – Master the different maintenance stages in a cocoa farm. 4. Duration and place of work – Contract duration: 12 months – Place of work: Biochar experimental plots in the municipality of Mintom.

CONTEXT About Good Neighbors: Good Neighbors is a humanitarian and Development international Korean NGO founded in Seoul in March 1991. It is present in 51 countries around the world and aims to make the world a better, hunger-free place, where people live together in harmony. It focuses on Community development to protect children’s rights and encourage community autonomy. Good Neighbors started its operations in Cameroon since 2014. It has a head Office is in Yaoundé and field Offices in Maroua and Mbalmayo. Good Neighbors Cameroon’s (GNCMR) work is focused on community development, implementing projects in the sectors of Health, Child Protection, livelihood (Income Generation Activities), food security, Education, Water and Sanitation hygiene and Environment. GNCMR works with different international partners such as the United Nations and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges. The organization also targets different international donors for funding opportunities. I. II. OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT From the above background, Good Neighbors Cameroon is seeking the services of a Professional Videographer/Photographer to capture and edit high quality visual content showcasing our program activities, our organization’s work and impact in the Far North Region of Cameroon Equip GNCMR staff The purpose of this documentary style video production is to; • Demonstrate accountability to our donors and stakeholders • Elevate our brand awareness and reputation • Mobilize resources to support future initiatives By sharing our story through compelling visuals, we aim to inspire, educate and motivate our audience to join us in making a meaningful change in the lives of those we serve. The Professional Videographer/Photographer may decide to work with a collaborator or assistants to facilitate their work (This collaborator or assistant is NOT the responsibility of Good Neighbors Cameroon). Good Neighbors Cameroon is responsible for; 1. Ensuring access to all information about the required videos 2. Make all prior preparations for the filming at the community level 3. Transportation from Maroua to Mehe village for the filming process 4. Ensuring follow-up till the final video content and photographs are delivered
III. DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSIGNMENT The Videographer is expected to produce two 5 minute documentary style videos each entitled, ‘A day in the life of a sponsored child’ and ‘My journey to bleeding with Pride. PERIOD! Specifically, the videographer will; 1. Attend a working session with the Assistant Program Manager to develop a script for the suggested footage 2. Visit Mehe village in the Far North Region to shoot the videos in collaboration with Good Neighbors Cameroon staff (This should be done using high quality videography and photography equipment including a drone, good microphones). The estimated number of days for the shoot is 4 days 3. Take at least 30 high quality photos during the filming process 4. Clean and edit all video clips including English subtitles, English Voice overs, Good Neighbors Cameroon’s logo and royalty free sounds to create compelling narratives 5. Incorporate graphics, animations and other visual elements to enhance storytelling 6. Produce trailers of the two main videos to be shared on GNCMR’s socials 7. Collaborate with the Assistant Program Manager to refine the video edits 8. Use any additional elements provided by Good Neighbors Cameroon for the video editing 9. Share all raw video footages, images and the edited video content with Good Neighbors Cameroon through a hard drive
IV. EXPECTED OUTPUTS 1. Two quality documentary style videos of 5 minutes each 2. Deliver the videos in various formats that can be shared in multiple platforms including social media and presentations 3. A collection of high quality pictures (At least 30) taken during the filming process that can be suitable for documentation and promotional use
V. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 1. At least 5 years’ experience in professional Videography/photography 2. A very strong portfolio showcasing high quality creative work. (A link to the Videographer’s latest work should be shared for review) 3. Proven track record of filming and editing compelling documentaries 4. Demonstrated expertise in developing engaging video scripts and scenes 5. Ability to deliver within the timeline provided. 6. A proof of all required equipment to produce the video and take quality photographs 7. Relevant training certification in film making, cinematography or related fields will be considered as a significant advantage 8. Any experience of similar work for an International Organizations will be an added advantage
VI. OWNERSHIP AND RIGHTS Good Neighbors Cameroon will retain exclusive ownership and rights to all videos and photographs that will be produced and edited during this project.

In the present context of insecurity in the Northwest (NW) and Southwest (SW) regions of Cameroon, the engagement of UNICEF through its Humanitarian Action for Children (HAC) has been pivotal in the success of most of its interventions. Dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre de sa stratégie pour la Croissance et l’Emploi, Gouvernement du Cameroun réalise l’amélioration de son système de filets sociaux à travers le projet Filets Sociaux, avec l’appui financier et technique de la Banque Mondiale.
A cet effet, le Projet Filets Sociaux Adaptatifs et d’lnclusion Economique (PFS-AIE) et l’Institut National de la Statistique (INS) ont signé le protocole d’accord de partenariat N°001/2024/MINEPAT/CTS/PFS-AIE/UGP pour la réalisation de l’Enquête sur les Conditions de Vie pour le choix des ménages bénéficiaires des Transferts Sociaux (CVTS) dans les communes bénéficiaires des Transferts Monétaires Ordinaires du cycle 7 financé par !’IDA.
Dans le cadre de la réalisation de cette convention, le Directeur Général de l’Institut National de la Statistique lance un appel à candidatures pour la présélection de 164 agents cartographes/enumérateurs et de 543 enquêteurs, pour un contrat à durée déterminée :
II. Description du poste:
II.1 Agents cartographes/énumérateurs de CVTS-cycle 7.
II.1.1 Objet du contrat; l’Agent sera chargé d’effectuer, à l’aide des tablettes, les opérations de cartographie et de dénombrement dans les communes et villages/quartiers qui lui seront assignés.
II.1.2 Profil du candidat
Etre de nationalité camerounaise, de sexe masculin ou féminin, jouissant d’une bonne santé physique;
Etre âgé d’au moins 21 ans et au plus 45 ans à la date de signature de l’appel à candidatures,
Etre titulaire au moins du baccalauréat ou de tout autre diplôme équivalent ;
Etre libre de tout engagement ;
Etre prêt à servir dans toutes les régions du pays, tant en milieu urbain qu’en milieu rural, dans au moins une des principales langues locales du pays ;
Avoir une bonne aptitude à travailler en équipe et sur le terrain;
avoir une expérience avérée en matière de collecte informatisée de données avec l’INS (de préférence ayant eu à participer à au moins une enquête PMT/CVTS) ainsi que des connaissances en cartographie seraient un atout;
Etre entièrement disponible pendant la durée du contrat.
U.1.3 Langue de travail: s’exprimer au moins en une des langues officielles, et au moins en une langue nationale parlée dans les localités d’enquête.
II.1.4 Durée du contrat : 17 jours

II.2 Agents enquêteurs de CVTS-cycle 7
II.2.1Objet du contrat: l’Agent sera chargé de collecter les données, à l’aide des tablettes, auprès des ménages-échantillons dans les villes/villages/quartiers qui lui seront assignés.
II.2.2 Profil du candidat
Etre de nationalité camerounaise, de sexe masculin ou féminin, jouissant d’une bonne santé physique;
Etre âgé d’au moins 21 ans et au plus 45 ans à la date de signature de l’appel à candidatures,
Etre titulaire au moins du baccalauréat ou de tout autre diplôme équivalent;
Etre libre de tout engagement;
Etre prêt à servir dans toutes les régions du pays, tant en milieu urbain qu’en milieu rural, dans au moins une des principales langues locales du pays ;
Avoir une bonne aptitude à travailler en équipe et sur le terrain;
