ONE (01) REGIONAL LOGISTICS MANAGER (Ref. RL0122)

BASSAGAL CONSULTING AFRICA is recruiting for one of its clients, Multinational retailer:

➢ ONE (01) REGIONAL LOGISTICS MANAGER (Ref. RL0122) Position based in Douala covering Cameroon & Gabon and supporting other
countries (Congo, Chad, etc.)

Your main missions will be:

• Work with Customer Service, Customer Development Team, Supply Network Planning, Logistics Service Providers and Lead Logistics Provider to ensure orders for customers and replenishment are fulfilled timely, achieving the targeted performance in terms of quality, quantity, and cost.

• Provide services based on customer needs and efficient cost distribution, import, export, and transporta- tion of finished products – partnering closely with the related local/regional commercial operations.

• Supervise the daily activities Logistics Service Providers and Lead Logistics Provider providing transportation services, ensuring on time arrival and delivery.

• Ensure timing and accurate execution of Co-Packing & Co-Manufacturing logistics activities performed in the region.

• Provide input for the budget and performance targets, review the monthly indicators to identify areas of improvement, work with the COE, Division CS&L, and Logistics Service Providers for identification and im- plementation of continuous improvement/sharing standard methodology projects.

• Lead and develop people within the organization
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
Profile :
• BS in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Administration
• Proven working experience of 5 years as a Logistics Manager
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management
• Proficient in standard logistics software
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Strong management background with extensive experience in Logistics and transport management
• Management of a team of resources throughout the organization in country and abroad.
• Demonstrate organizational management, problem solving, skilled influencing and negotiation techniques
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• May speak fluently English and French
• May be required to effect local and international travels for deals with existing and potential clients.

This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license and valid passport.
