Term of office: 3-year contract renewable after annual evaluation
Probationary period: 3-month probationary period with possibility of extension
Language required: English and French.

JOB DESCRIPTION
To expertly manage the debts of our company. As a credit controller, you will be responsible for collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts, processing invoices, maintaining the sales ledger, and providing administrative support. To ensure success as a credit controller, you should have a good eye for detail and the ability to reconcile complex company accounts. Ultimately, a top-class credit controller can maximize company profits by efficiently managing its debts.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks.
• Managing and collecting debts from company debtors.
• Setting up the terms of credit for new clients.
• Negotiating payment plans.
• Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
• Responding to client inquiries.
• Processing invoices.
• Preparing statements and reports for the company accountant.
• Managing the sales ledger.
• Liaising with customers and the sales team.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Credit Managers must be able to do what’s best for the company while still building and maintaining strong relationships with customers. They can do so with prerequisite skills and qualifications including:

REQUIREMENTS.
Proven work experience of at least 2 years and above as a Credit Manager, Credit Analyst or similar role in an banking or financial house,
• Hands-on experience with accounting software
• Solid understanding of lending procedures
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets (e.g. in Excel)
• Negotiation skills
• BSc in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance or relevant field
• Effective communication in French and English
