Post title: Administrative assistant
Duty station: Yaoundé, Cameroon
Reports to: Branch manager
Duration of appointment: 3years renewable contract upon yearly assessment.
Probation period: 3 months’ probation period with the possibility of extension.
Language required: English and French
Expected start date: As Soon as Possible

JOB DESCRIPTION
He/she will perform administrative duties to keep their banks running efficiently. They compose correspondence, plan and schedule meetings, manage the calendar of the senior management, organize and maintain files, greet clients, and make travel arrangements for employees, create spreadsheets, meeting presentations, reports, or databases. Negotiating with vendors, maintaining office equipment, purchasing supplies, and completing data retrieval. In addition, they prepare and secure client financial information and maintain the bank’s policy and procedure guidebooks.
KEY RESPONSILITIES• answering calls, taking messages and handling correspondence • maintaining diaries and arranging appointments • typing, preparing and collating reports • filing • organizing and servicing meetings (producing agendas and taking minutes) • managing databases • prioritizing workloads • implementing new procedures and administrative systems • logging or processing bills or expenses • acting as a receptionist and/or meeting and greeting clients• Ensure constant check for office supplies and equipment
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION• At least a B.Sc. in Secretarial Studies or Office Technology and Management • Minimum of 2 to 4 years work experience in similar position• Ability to use effectively MS packages such as MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint • Must be well organized with an orderly mind,• Must be able to take accurate notes of meetings• Bilingual • must have good communication and facilitationskills• knowledge on the running of a financial institution is plus• Hard working, detailed oriented and able to manage multi-task effectively; • Good administration and interpersonal skills• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
