BASSAGAL CONSULTING AFRICA is recruiting for one of its clients of the Telecommunications
sector:
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, your main missions will be :
• Clearly define project objectives, prepare and defend project budgets.
• Develop and manage project plans and implementation schedules using MS Project and other suitable Project Management software.
• Manage project implementation to completion and perform regular quality inspections during and
after project completion, throughout the service life.
• Effectively setup and empower project teams, manage internal operations and external contractors
pertinent to project execution.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on every project and furnish project reports for all
customers, stakeholders and archive internally for future references and continuity.
• Maintain rapport with Finance team and ensure proper invoicing on milestone.
• Actively support sales, marketing and admin with preparation of bid documents.
• Provide all support necessary for contract negotiations with suppliers.
• Ensure accurate specs for equipment required per project are furnished to the Logistics unit and
assist through with procurement and payment of supplier and contractor invoices.
• Regularly perform quality inspections and practice timely escalation on issues during project execution.
Profile :
• Should be PMP certified with B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Telecom/IT
• Strong Project management background with extensive experience in Telecommunications
and Satcom
• Experience of 3-5 years in relation with industry work
• Experience as a project manager in a Telecom environment is essential.
• Satellite and/or wireless network experience advantageous.
• Worked in a project management framework (PMI, PRINCE2).
• Management of a team of resources throughout the organization in country and abroad.
• Demonstrate organizational management, problem solving, skilled influencing and
negotiation techniques
