INTERNSHIP – PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR

Key Responsibilities / Tasks:
The Project Administrator provides guidance and support to Consultants and staff in the development of proposals for business opportunities, including:
• Identification and dissemination of information about funding opportunities;
• Developing administrative and financial expertise in national and international funding sources such as local government entities, Universities and research institutions, Development Aid agencies (EU, USAID, World Bank, UN bodies, DFID, NGOs, foundations, Global health and Capacity strengthening schemes etc.), and other organizations supporting capacity strengthening in Africa and international development at large;
• Working with Consultants and external experts to match expertise and fundable ideas with potential sponsors;
• Assist in the formation and facilitation of teams of ACDC and external partners to develop collaborative projects;
• Understand and interpret sponsor requests for proposals and other guidance for proposal development and submission;
• Develop checklists and other organizational tools to ensure complete proposal packages;
• Guide Consultant through sponsors compliance requirements;
• Create budgets in funder/grantor/partner -specific formats that are fully compliant with sponsor and ACDC rules and regulations;
• Manage electronic research administration functions related to proposal development, including proposal submission and sponsor liaison;
• Review proposals to ensure compliance with ACDCpolicies, sponsor guidelines, and overall excellence in all proposal components;
• Act as authorizing official for projects;
• Maintain organized electronic documentation of communication and decisions related to proposal submission;•
Participate in relevant training and education activities;
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• University degree in international relations, engineering, financial management, accounting, business administration, economics, project management or other related subjects;
• Fluency in English and French;
• Excellent abilities to translate from French to English and work in both languages;
• Previous exposure in financial and administrative duties after graduation, preferably in a private business, accountancy, business consulting firmswould be an asset;
• Experience with international technical assistance organisations (UN, EU, World Bank) is an advantage;

• Ability to Research and Summarize Business Information• Microsoft Pack Office• Knowledge of statistic and quantitative Software a plus• Flexibility to travel and capacity to adapt in a challenging environment;
