EXTERNAL VACANCY
Union Bank of Cameroon Plc is presently in search of a Branch Manager for one of its Branches in Cameroon.
Opportunity is open for external candidates.
Job Purpose: Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers while enhancing branch
accountability and performance
Job Title: BRANCH MANAGER
Category: (To be determined based on background and experience)
Reporting Line: Head, Consumer Retail Banking
Principal Responsibilities (Key tasks)
 Manages and supervises branch employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership
 Create strategies to grow business opportunities within the branch.
 Build new customer relationships
 Retain existing customers.
 Resolve customer issues.
 Ensure customers’ financial needs are met.
 Develop and monitor branch sales strategies.
 Manage and monitor loan portfolio of branch clients.
 Identify and develop new sources of business.
 Recommend training, mentor and guide all branch staff to function efficiently and professionally.
 Prepare operational reports of his/her branch for the head office as appropriate etc.

 Deposit Growth
 Revenue generation
 Customer acquisition
 Cross selling (Number of products per customer)
 Quality service
Competencies/ Skills:
 Minimum of Master’s degree or equivalent in marketing, finance, management, or other related disciplines
 Minimum 5 years exposure as Branch Manager in a bank
 Knowledge of banking internal processes and policies. A good understanding of the Financial Service Sector
 Fully bilingual: French and English, good persuasiveness and sales skills, good knowledge of Cameroon
financial markets and regulatory requirements, high level of loyalty, honesty and integrity etc
 Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
 Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
