High responsibility fuels your motivation? Mastering an accounting software gets you going? You aspire to manage all aspects of accounting and finance of a young and growing company? We want you as the Finance Officer for our schools in Cameroon!! You will be responsible for the school’s financial health and work with the school Principals, the Regional Finance Manager who is based in Abidjan and the group Chief Financial Officer who is based at the Enko Education’s headquarters in Johannesburg.

We are expecting the following results from our Finance Officers:

The school’s accounting is well-maintained and up-to-date

School payments are up to date and there is a fluent relationship with financial institutions

The financial planning and the reporting on to the Finance Department is done with the appropriate level of detail

The school’s finances are compliant with national tax laws and legal regulations along with international and group standards

Parents relations are managed with rigor, tact, and empathy

School’s administration is done efficiently and the administrative files are well-organized

School leadership team is continuously assisted regarding financial/economical/cash flow related aspects

As an ideal candidate, you:

Are fluent in spoken and written French or English (knowledge of the other language is a plus)

Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Audit related fields

Have at least 2-3 years of work experience in Accounting/Audit related fields

Have knowledge of tax laws and financial regulations in Cameroon

Master Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and the accounting software Sage

Are a good analytical thinker and you have a high attention to detail

Are objective-driven and able to work autonomously under minimal supervision

Are confident to interact with parents; able to handle pressure with composure

Are organized, know how to prioritize and multitask

The applicant must be legally authorized to work in Cameroon. Knowing about Cameroon’s education landscape is a plus.
