AURE RH RECRUITMENT SERVICES SARL, a member of AREKO GROUP, is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients in the construction sector for the position of Environmental & Social Specialist (H/F).
Job Title: Environmental & Social Specialist (H/F)
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Compliance:
- Monitor and ensure adherence to environmental regulations and corporate policies throughout project lifecycle stages ;
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Social Management:
- Evaluate and manage social risks, including community engagement and stakeholder consultations ;
- Develop and implement social management plans to address project impacts.
- High-Voltage Expertise:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and mitigate environmental and social risks specific to high-voltage installations and operations ;
- Ensure proper planning and oversight of high-voltage transmission and electrical infrastructure projects from an environmental and social perspective.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed reports on environmental and social compliance, including impact assessments, monitoring results, and audits ;
- Maintain accurate records of permits, compliance certifications, and related documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with regulatory authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders ;
- Facilitate training programs on environmental and social practices for internal and external parties.
Profil :
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental and social management, with a focus on high-voltage or electrical projects;
Compétences techniques / Aptitudes professionnelles :
· Certification in environmental or social management (e.g. NEBOSH Environmental, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor);
· Experience in renewable energy projects or power systems ;
· Proven experience conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA);
· Familiarity with high-voltage transmission systems, electrical substations, and associated infrastructure;
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
· Proficiency in English.
