JOB DESCRIPTION
Operational Delivery

Identify and develop a robust pipeline of prospects within the strategic accounts which are systematically qualified, whilst managing the decision-making process within the account to ensure sales opportunities are closed.
Develop compelling business cases for investment within relevant verticals, to assist in clearly identifying return on investment and risk.
Guide the sales operational business plan and escalate any deviation on a periodic basis.
Support analysis on ROI regarding potential business development initiatives.
Conduct periodic audit on S&D financial numbers vs. available data and escalate
Define and execute the internal and external performance management framework.
Define and ensure the implementation of tools and metrics to measure performance of sales and distribution activities.
Define and ensure the implementation of tools and metrics to measure effectiveness of sales and distribution activities, resources or investment.
Management and monitoring of Sales and Distribution budget.
Follow up internal and external sales and distribution performance to ensure alignment with defined business performance principles and expected outcomes.
Training

Review trends in training and development and develop approach to deploy and manage trainings to support staff optimal productivity on products, systems and applications across the Sales organization.
Define and execute the Retail Academy Programme which includes ongoing trainings to sales (including external channels), sales management, and sales support personnel in both the sales internal and external organization.
Develop an integrated learning infrastructure that assures learning and development opportunities to equip sales and distribution as well as external sales team and POS with the skills needed for growth and success.
Ensure that learning materials are developed on time, kept current and incorporates/responds to new information such as: plant design changes, plant procedure changes and revisions, new regulations and learning effectiveness reports, as well as delivering and/or facilitating basic leadership training sessions.
Ensure availability of always up to date online learning center for the internal and external sales force.
Periodically ascertain training needs arising from the sales organization in conjunction with the Marketing, Mobile Money, HR and Customer Services teams.
Organise and plan roll out of business operations training interventions within the regions and manage training delivery, measurement, allocation of resources and follow-ups as necessary for business operations (product and systems) training.
Conduct reviews of learning materials and delivery process, providing assurance in the quality and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
Manage training evaluation procedure using appropriate evaluation methodology and conduct surveys on the effectiveness of training periodically (cost and performance)
Review related regulations/statutory requirements (as applicable) with respect to training and ensure compliance.
 Any other work as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy Implementation

Assist in the creation of sub-divisional strategy in line with overarching divisional goals
Ensure effective implementation of sub-divisional strategy by means of providing direction, structure, business plans and support
Governance (Adhoc and Operational Meeting)

Set up / participate in adhoc and operational meetings  
Report at process and functional level
Escalations

Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery
Escalate issues that will result in significant time, scope, employee / client or cost impact if not resolved
Manage and provide solutions to issues that require formal resolution
Opco Operational

Set up and manage project status meetings
Review and identify key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions
Manage budgets
Sign-off / make decisions regarding operational changes
Performance

Provide input to the performance review against agreed KPIs and their compliance to SLAs and reverse SLAs
Create and monitor plan for continuous improvement
Reporting

Provide input into the review of reports on a monthly basis relating to progress made within the sub-division and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation
Review reports on specific projects as per the defined timelines as and when necessary
Budgets:  

Assist in managing the  sub-divisional budgets in line with business objectives
Assist in managing  project initiative budgets in line with business objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
Education

First Degree in finance, business administration or similar fields
Fluent in language of country with basic command of English
Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Sales Performance Management, with experience in supervising/managing others;
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in, training or facilitation
Training delivery experience in Telecoms products and systems would be an added advantage.  
Experience working a Sales & Distribution in FMCG
Experience working in a medium to large organization.
