INTERNAL JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Catholic Relief Services is seeking qualified, experienced and highly motivated Project Assistant who will provide service in the day-to-day
delivery of responsive, effective and efficient project activities in support of our mission to serve the poor and vulnerable. You will provide
consistent and high-quality service and contribute to the proper stewardship of project resources to help ensure operational effectiveness in
support of high-quality programming.
Position is based in YAOUNDE (01), and is contingent to funding
Primary Responsibilities:
• Facilitate communication with all members of the project team, relevant staff in other departments/teams and external stakeholders as
relevant.
• Provide specialized project transactions and processes and facilitate overall planning and coordination of project activities
• Support the design and implementation of the KIDSS referral and counter referral system, including the mapping of high impact service providers in each health district.
• Facilitate planning and coordination of KIDSS partner meetings, workshops and public events.
• Prepare transactional documents in support of project operations processes and support and facilitate coordination of transaction
processing.
• Compile data, perform data entry and data verification in relation to project administration processes
• Support travel and logistics arrangements for staff and visitors. Schedule and coordinate appointments. Provide logistical and
communication support to event planning activities.
• Support implementation of property management processes, such as property receipt and distribution, property labeling, physical counts,
etc.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in the Social Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management or any related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in project support.
• Experience or proven ability to work with Church and other civil society organizations.
• Specialized knowledge of and experience with OVC care and support programming will be a plus.
• Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement
• Demonstration of combined physical and mental ability to work under pressure
• Strong verbal and written and documentation skills in both English and French.
• Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to quickly adapt to change and respond with effective strategies.
• Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities.
• Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners.
• Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented.
• Fluency in French, Professional Proficiency in English required.
Required Travel: Up to 25% travel.
