Objectif principal

Objectif 1: Distribution des produits nécessaires au projet:

Évaluer les besoins et envoyer des produits alimentaires et non alimentaires aux bénéficiaires;
S’assurer que les délais de livraison sont respectés et qu’ils sont généralement bien organisés;
Veiller à ce que chaque bénéficiaire reçoive la bonne quantité de produit;
Veiller à ce que la liquidité soit fournie à temps et de manière organisée;
Assurer le respect des conditions de livraison hygiéniques;
Vérifier la conformité de la livraison en termes quantitatifs et qualitatifs;
Contrôle des bénéficiaires: contrôle des foules;
Préparation du matériel nécessaire à la distribution du produit;
Intervenir en cas de problème avec les bénéficiaires;
Rédiger un rapport d’activité décrivant tous les processus de distribution;
Émettre des recommandations pour améliorer les résultats des processus de distribution;
Proposer de nouvelles mesures pour les activités futures;
Distribution de jetons aux bénéficiaires.
Objectif 2: Gestion des bénéficiaires:

Expliquer le projet aux bénéficiaires et à la population;
Faire le lien entre l’Organisation et les bénéficiaires.
Vérifier que la liste des bénéficiaires respecte les critères de vulnérabilité décidés avant la mise en œuvre de l’activité. Informez le superviseur du site au cas où des personnes vulnérables ne figurent pas sur ces listes.
Recueillir des données et réaliser des entretiens;
Informer le maître d’ouvrage en cas de litige.

Des compétences

Niveau CGE-A ou diplôme universitaire
Expérience dans un contexte humanitaire, de préférence dans un contexte d’urgence;
Expérience de travail similaire
Capacité à travailler sous pression, dans un environnement sécurisé et tendu;
Bonnes compétences organisationnelles et réactivité;
Bonnes capacités de collecte de données;
Connaissance du fonctionnement des marchés dans les zones rurales et urbaines;
Bonnes compétences en communication et en information.
Le français et les langues locales sont obligatoires

Duties and responsibilities
  • Acceptance of supplies and materials deposited in designated locations and distribution in accordance with NRC procedures.
  • Keep a record of all incoming and outgoing documents, in both paper and electronic form. Maintain accurate records of materials and constant monitoring.
  • Control the packaging, loading and unloading of materials.
  • Ensure the availability of storage space and constant monitoring of compliance with the order to maintain cleanliness in stock.
  • Ensure the safety of materials, keep stocks in good condition.
  • Check the tolerance of warehouse and goods reception only by authorized personnel.
  • Make periodic reports and assist in carrying out periodic inventories, both on paper and physically.
  • Ensure utility warehouse payment, given the periodic inspection of meters at the beginning of each month.
  • Immediately report any loss, damage or discrepancies.
  • Organize and control supply services (trucks, cranes, forklifts, etc.) for the prompt and efficient shipment and receipt of goods in the warehouse. Monitor the continued efficiency of the forklifts.
  • Responsible for the physical and electronic storage and archiving of documents in the filing tree
  • Produce monthly reports (and share them with department heads)
Qualifications
  • Two years’ experiences in Warehouse management/Logistics in a humanitarian context.
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Proven track record on job responsibilities.

STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:Education:

Language: Fluency (level C) in English and good working knowledge of French. Good understanding of local language Pidgin is desirable.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. At work today in over 40 countries, we restore safety, dignity and hope to millions who are uprooted and struggling to endure. The mission of the IRC is to help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future.

IRC CAMEROON STRATEGY

The IRC started operations in Cameroon in 2016 to respond to the increasing concerns for people affected by violence linked to Boko Haram, in the Far North of the country.  Assistance to displaced populations extends across the Far North, notably Mayo Sava, Mayo Tsanaga and Logone & Chari, delivering lifesaving programming to increase access to water and improving hygiene practices in vulnerable displaced and host communities, cash programming to enable poor families to meet basic needs and improve food security, and protection programming, including meeting specific needs of women and girls. The Coordination office is located in Maroua, with a field base in Kousseri and a representation office in Yaoundé. 

Following the increasing crisis in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon, the IRC expanded its operations into the South West region in August 2018 and to North West Region in 2020. The IRC is delivering lifesaving humanitarian assistance to internally displaced populations, with a field base in Buea and Bamenda.

IRC Cameroon is committed in its 2020 Strategic Action Plan, to continue to provide essential humanitarian services, with a focus on safety in communities and ensuring affected populations can meet their basic needs, whilst also building the resilience of beneficiaries, especially women and girls, and addressing the needs of youth.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The cleaner/cook covers responsibilities for: (1) Keeping the IRC office and guesthouse both inside and surroundings neat and clean during weekdays and on rotation during the weekends (2) Maintaining adequate stocks of appropriate cleaning materials and supplies, (3) Food preparation for IRC accommodated staff/guest.  (4) Maintaining adequate stocks of cooking and food supplies in the Guess House.

The main goal of this position is to keep the Guess House clean and also prepare food for the accommodated staff and guest.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure thorough cleaning /dusting of ceilings, windows, walls, floors, door frames, book shelves, tables and chairs of the offices and guesthouse.
  • The rubbish bins in each room and offices should be emptied and returned daily.
  • The bathrooms/latrines should be swept and mopped thoroughly each day; bathrooms should be supplied with toilet paper, detergents and water as necessary.
  • Laundry should be done as necessary; all clothes should be ironed and folded.
  • Keep track of cleaning and laundry supplies and make procurement lists as needed.
  • Prepares nutritious, varied, meals at a schedule determined or by request from the staff and the supervisors.
  • Does regular market shopping for meals; maintains minimum stocks of staple items.
  • presents receipts from merchants as available.
  • Maintains and monitor potable water stock.
  • Keep food stuffs clean, using bleach solution as appropriate.
  • Keeps kitchen area and utensils clean and hygienic at all times.
  • Assists in organizing special meals or events as needed.
  • Perform other duties, as needed or requested.

Profil

Education (Knowledge)

  • Minimum Qualification GCE Ordinary Level or its equivalent

Experience:

  • At least a year of prior experience in a similar position
  • Must have basic knowledge in routine checking

Skills and Abilities:

  • Honest, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Ability to work for extra hours and on weekends if required
  • Must have strong organizational skills;
  • Must be physically fit to meet the demands of the job.
