About the Role:
OAG is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented M&E Intern to join our M&E Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in international development, humanitarian aid, or public health, and a passion for using data to drive decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional M&E environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the M&E Unit in the development of proposal for tender opportunity
• Assist the M&E Unit in the development and implementation of M&E frameworks and data collection tools.
• Support field staff in data gathering activities, including surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews.
• Help with data entry, cleaning, and management using software such as Excel, KOBO Toolbox, or ODK.
• Contribute to the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and insights.
• Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Provide general support to the M&E team.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field such as: International Development, Social Sciences (Anthropology, Sociology), Economics, Statistics, Public Health, or Project Management.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., KOBO, ODK, SurveyCTO) and basic data analysis is a strong advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Assets:
• Professional proficiency in French and Englsih is highly desirable.
• Previous experience, including volunteer, in the humanitarian or international development sector.
• Experience with AI in monitoring and evaluation
• Experience with data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, Python, NVivo) is a plus.
