Position: CALL FOR APPLICATIONS Data Manager
Location: CRID, Yaoundé, Cameroon.
Role Summary
This position is part of the Catalysing the Adoption of a Novel Vector Control Toolbox (CANVeCT) project, a multidisciplinary study in Cameroon designed to evaluate the effectiveness of spatial repellents (SRs) in reducing malaria transmission and influencing insecticide resistance, compared with dual-active ingredient long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs).
Funded by Unitaid, the project brings together epidemiology, entomology, mathematical modelling, social science, and health economics to generate robust evidence for the inclusion of SRs as a key tool for malaria control and elimination. The project is implemented in partnership with the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) and leading international institutions, including the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential
Marter’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience in database management, data analysis, or monitoring & evaluation (M&E).
Proficiency with data management tools/software (e.g., RedCap, SurveyCTO, MS Excel, SQL, Access, DHIS2, Power BI).
Understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Desirable
Experience working on research projects, NGOs, development programmes, or corporate data systems.
Familiarity with statistical software (SPSS, R, Stata).
Experience using cloud-based storage and collaboration platforms.
