Nestlé Cameroon is currently looking for a
Demand Planner – Tropical Cluster to
develop, maintain and improve a Demand
Plan representing the most realistic
estimate of customer demand for a
portfolio of categories (Culinary, Soluble
Coffee, Beverages, Dairy, Nutrition and
Nestlé Professional depending on the
allocation set up by line Manager). Ensure
the alignment of this Demand Plan with
internal partners through the Monthly
Business Planning and … Collaborative
Planning processes. Identify and manage
exceptions and monitor performance to
continually improve the quality and reliability of the Demand Plan and the
Company’s ability to sense and respond to
changing circumstances.
Main Responsibilities.
Maintain Data and Systems
Create and maintain the appropriate
master data in the planning systems
in use, minimizing errors, and
avoiding duplication and
obsolescence.
« Maintain system hygiene and health
to ensure demand signals are not
polluted, in close collaboration with
CSFC, COC, EXPORT Service, Sales
& Finance.
« Collect Information and
Assumptions
e Ensure —commitment : from all
functions, build, and maintain good
communication and collaboration both
within Supply Chain and with Sales
and Marketing, Manufacturing and
Finance, according to the Monthly
Business Planning (MBP) best
practices and actively Lead the
OPDSR process.
« Capture, prioritize, analyze, and input
Marketing and Sales events and
assumptions
e Collect customer, consumer &
competitor information; other external
/ internal trends and influences which

Contribute actively to and support the
effective operation of associated
processes including Customer
Planning and Managing (CP&M),
Integrated | Commercial = Planning
(ICP), Brand and Portfolio
Management (BPM) and the Dynamic
Forecast framework (DF).
Manage Portfolio and Lifecycle
Effectively use all Demand Planning
system functionality to enable an
exception-based management
approach, incorporating the « Animal
Farm » methodology.
Maintain the systems to reflect the
product life cycle (predecessors,
successors, temporary promotional
variants…).
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales
by providing input on a regular basis
and/or through NPDI processes
regarding product launches, portfolio
optimization, rationale of commercial
decisions, promotions, and customer
behavior.
Together with Supply Planner,
regularly review and alert business
partners on potential write-off risks of
SKUs in terms of excessive stock or
breaching freshness requirements
Develop and Maintain the Forecast
Contribute t Customer Facing
activites such «as Collaborative
Planning, Promotional Forecasting,
ad hoc joint Supply Chain
improvement projects as appropriate.
Contribute to and provide input to
commercial planning processes and
systems such as CP&M, for everyday
sales volume estimate/forecast. In
advanced markets, supported by SAS
causal modeling, provide
promotion/event related volume
estimates/forecast
Track and Manage Demand
Actively follow-up actual sales to
customers and sell-out (POS) data to
identify exceptional or unforecasted
activities.
Drive fast, appropriate actions to
minimize the impact of deviations
from the Demand Plan. Communicate
these actions to stakeholders.
Measure and Track Performance
Consistently improve Demand Plan
Accuracy (DPA accuracy level and
variability) and drive out systematic
forecast bias through detailed
analyses of past performance. Track
errors using DP Reason Codes and
maintain an efficient Learning Log.
Implement improvements to Demand
- Two or more years of relevant
operational experience at market /
business level, in at least one of the
following areas: - Supply Planning
e Finance: Business Planning /
Dynamic Forecasting
« Supply Chain Development
« Sales, Key Account Management
« Category Channel Sales
