Mission and objectives

MISSION: Empowering men, women, youths and the disadvantaged with the tools necessary to help them improve the quality of their lives. We want the oppressed, the poor and less privileged to live a life of meaning and worth. Key programs of Goodness and Mercy Missions since 2007 are: Women Economic empowerment initiatives, child sponsorship, hassle free education for underprivileged children, computer training and youth livelihood projects.

Context

Goodness and Mercy Missions has been supporting children’s education since 2007 through child sponsorship, securing scholarships and local fund raising initiatives. It wants to strengthen the local fund raising method. Volunteers may work as a team or individually. GMM will supply needed information to volunteers for the work. Communication will be by email, Whatsapp, skype, Facebook messenger and whatever type of media that is relevant for the work. Volunteers can be English of French Speakers.

Task description

Goodness and Missions has been helping underprivileged children to have access to a hassle free education since 2007. Child sponsorship and securing scholarships have been the standard ways this has been done. The Organization desires to create a sustainable program where it generates funds itself to support children’s education. Many children who were desperate for help ended up not being helped because of the slow process. The organization looks for online volunteers who will help build up a sustainable program. Online Volunteers will work on : – Writing project proposals, – Editing and proofreading – Working on budgets for the funding proposals as well as – Research potential funding agencies The organization will ultimately submit the proposals to. GMM will work with volunteers all along to supply needed information. Online Volunteers will not be requested to contact any third parties/partners/donors of any kind on our behalf.
