JOB PURPOSE /MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES: TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

 

 

The IT Manage will be required to provide an eftective and efficient support services to IT users in order to drive the business.

 

 

The incumbent shall be responsible for the day to day setup and maintenance of the IT and IT telated systems i.e.

 

Windows Server, desktop, mobile phones, Printer, Backups, VPN, wireless, network and PABX (Astersik).

 

 

Remote support of users and systems is required, COMPETENCIES

Liaise with service providers, suppliers and contractors for the various IT related services as well as senior management to understand and facilitate the business requirements.

 

Champion the deployment and maintenance of the ERP (Odoo) and ERP related systems these include the HR and Training platform.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

•Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.

 

Manage annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness installing and confiquring computet/network hardware, operating

 

Essential Skills: systems and applications.

 

* Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.

 

*Providing staff with effective support within stipulated timelines. either in person or remotely.

 

• Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software, and wireless communication faults.

 

•Effective management and coordination of ICT vendors, suppliers and partners, Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a tault or configure a system.

 

*Deployment and roll-out of new applications, including ERP.

 

 

• Design, develop and implement companywide BMS system in partnership with external vendor.

 

 

• Train and upskill staff on the use of the BMS system.

 

• Setup reporting requirements on the BMS system.

 

• Act as ERP administrator. . Creation of new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password and authentication issues.

 

* Adherence to escalation procedures (senior team members or vendors for resolution)

 

• Prioritising and managing multiple open cases at any given time.

 

• Testing and evaluating new technologies and providing recommendations to Line Manager.

 

• Training and documentation for staff and IT Team where applicable

 

• Availability after hours it and when required.

 

Manage windows Server domains (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, File-shares, Backups etc)

 

• Windows Server and Desktop Maintenance, Installation and Repair

 

• Trend officescan Antivirus administration.

 

• Remote (Teamviewer, Remote Desktop, Anydesk) and local user support

 

• Firewall (Sonicwall) Configuration and maintenance, License Management * Email Management and configuration (Google Mail)

 

• Access control system Confiquration, manaqement and backup (IPX System)

 

• PABX and Telephone system Configuration and Management

 

• License Management (Google, Sonicwali, Printers, Web and Domain hosting, Antivirus etc.)

 

•IT Stock/Asset Management (Laptops, Monitors, Servers etc.) across all reqions

 

 

• Mobile Phone Management (Vodacom). . Printer Confiquration and contract management.

 

*Basic office management and correspondence with the building management

 

 

• Video Conterence system management.

 

 

Ability to produce accurate and effective reporting.

 

*Troubleshooting and technical skills. *

 

Time Management skills

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

 

(relating to specialist knowiedge and expertise lequired to undertake the role)

 

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

 

• Proficient in IT service management.

 

• Database development experience, Java / SOL an advantage. Back office experience

 

• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.

 

 

• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of resolving hardware and software problems.

 

 

• particular knowledqe/experience of working in multicultural environments

 

 

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO THE ROLE IDEAL CANDIDATE

 

 

•Experience, qualifications and other requirements specific to the role

• Relevant IT Diploma and N’.

 

 

A and MCSE Certification. ITIL Or COBIT Framework experience a nice to have

 

*Experience in data centre management and data governance 3-s years working experience in a similar role.

 

IT environment.
