PAYROLL MANAGER
MELT GROUP is looking for A PAYROLL MANAGER to develop its activities in its countries of operations.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Summary:
The Payroll manager performs and supervises payroll accounting and processing based on company policies in all countries of operations.
Essential Functions:
- Uploading client rate schedules(CRS) and checking rates if they comply with contract agreements in all countries( preparing and inputting data into automated system)
- Oversee payroll transaction including calculations, deductions and withholdings
- Ensure that all employees are paid on time and accurately
- Respond to payroll inquiries and concerns from employees and clients
- Overseeing and advising on payroll queries for all countries
- Preparation and reconciliation of all payroll related general ledger accounts and reports Review payroll reports for correctness and completeness.
- Training payroll support officers in all aspects of Payroll
- Provide direction to IT department on maintenance and enhancement to the payroll software
- Coordinate annual payments for leave and bonuses
- Conducting quarterly appraisals of payroll support officers manage performance and monitor development.
- Approve remuneration reports prepared by Payroll support officers before bank transfers are done.
- Process and distribute reports for compensation, taxes and other deductions.
- Follow up on the Finance team to ensure that tax and CNPS declarations are done correctly and on time.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality at all times with regards to the business and its members
- Responsible for the management, planning and execution of payroll processes and systems in an accurate and timely manner
- Recommend changes in policies, procedures and methods
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Work Experience
- Sc. in Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Economics
- 5 years’ experience, preferably in payroll preparation and processing, working as payroll junior support personnel
Competence Requirements:
Knowledge of the local taxation policies.
- Self-motivated individual with effective organizational/planning skills.
- Ability to build excellent relationship with internal & external interfaces.
- Demonstrate strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to undertake multiple tasks at the same time without losing focus while managing competing deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (English and French).
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to forecast and advise management on payroll changes
- Experience in performing ledger reconciliation, researching variances and affecting appropriate solutions for any discrepancies
