Apave Cameroon is currently recruiting on behalf of CAMALCO CAMEROON S.A., a subsidiary of a major multinational corporation. Based in the Adamawa Region, this large-scale mining project is dedicated to the responsible and sustainable development of bauxite resources. This strategic is set to drive local industrialization, job creation, and community development.

Mission
The HSE COORDINATOR (M/F) will lead the daily implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment rules on-site and monitor their application across all work zones.

Main Responsibilities
Lead the daily implementation of HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) rules on-site and monitor their application across work zones.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to mining and infrastructure construction activities.
Carry out HSE inspections and field audits and follow up on corrective actions.
Investigate incidents or accidents and ensure rigorous reporting.
Organize emergency drills and coordinate actions during critical situations.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and local authorities on HSE issues.
Consolidate HSE data to feed dashboards and key performance indicators for management.
Onsite, rotation 16weeks / 2 weeks

Requirements
Education: Master’s Degree in HSE or related field.

Certification: Recognized HSE certification required.

Experience: More than 8 years in a similar role within the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry sectors.

Industry Assets: Experience working with multiple contractors or on linear infrastructure projects (rail, road) is an asset.

Technical Skills: Operational understanding of risks related to construction and mining operations.

Languages: Bilingual French/English.
