Responsibilities
Data Validation & Data Integration
Data Quality Assurance, Governance & Security
Data Analysis, Visualization & Trend Analysis
Transaction Processing for MTNC
Perform Period End Activities (covering all period end activities across all accounts and business units) IFRS Accounting and Reporting (Primary Ledger)
Perform Period End Activities (covering all period end activities across all accounts and business units) OHADA Accounting and Reporting (Secondary Ledger) for MTNCRisk & Compliance: Manage Statutory and External Audits and Internal Audits for Both IFRS and OHADATechnical Accounting support for Both IFRS and OHADA
Management
Exceptions Handling and Reporting
Qualifications
Education:

Minimum of 3 years university degree in Commerce/Finance or relevant field
Post graduate degree in Finance / Business Management/CPA/Chartered Accountant and / or similar professional accreditation

Fluent in English and language of country preferable
Certifications (in either one or more of the following):

IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
Experience:
5 years of experience in financial reporting and financial period close with experience in supervising/managing others;
Minimum 5 years relevant managerial experience in Finance
Experience working in a medium to large organization. Proven Experience in the service management of business operations, change / transformation (Corporate Performance Management) advantageous
Deep knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices (Corporate Performance Management)
Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding emerging markets advantageous).
Strong understanding and knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and MS Office (Word, Excel-advanced, and Outlook)
FMCG/ Telecommunications/ Retail Banking/ service industry context
Pan Africa multi-cultural experience will be preferable
Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
Functional Knowledge:

Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Knowledge of Local Accounting Standards (OHADA)
Knowledge of local Tax and finance laws
Knowledge of Payroll
Working knowledge of ERP (Oracle preferred) Telecommunications industry experience preferred
Experience in a similar leadership role with a large, global, multi-site organization
Experience in the design / development of overall strategies and programs with a keen disciplined focus on execution
