Under the authority of Maintenance Downstream Leader, the maintenance planner is the pillar of the maintenance team, he is the one who plans and schedules maintenance activities. He plan, prioritize and manage maintenance activities to rectify breakdowns and malfunctions, and minimize business disruption.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promote the efficient execution of maintenance tasks to ensure the best possible availability of assets. Prioritize and assign tasks so that team resources are used efficiently and work schedules and goals are met;
  • Supervise, organize and control technician workflow, support production priorities and improve efficiencies;
  • Manage maintenance workflow and spare parts inventory transactions using MAXIMO;
  • Inspect completed work to verify that repairs have been carried out correctly and that machinery and equipment comply with specifications and safety standards;
  • Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts and tools that are used by maintenance department employees in their daily activities;
  • Provide a last line of defense for fault finding to assist technicians with repairs and more complicated issues;
  • Inform and give feedback on asset conditions;
  • Plan maintenance activities;
  • Strong cooperation and exchange on assets and maintenance activities;
  • Align to Good Manufacturing Practices standards and resolve issues;
  • Respect and enforce safety, quality and food safety instructions;
  • Participate in improving the Quality and Safety culture on our site by proposing and committing to specific improvement actions;
  • Ensure that his workstation and all areas within his scope of action are kept clean and safe, including those of his teams;
  • Carry out any other task or mission within the department or outside it according to the needs of the hierarchy or Management.

About You: 

  • Professional training at Bac+3 level in a technical field
  • Training in Project management
  • 3 years of specific experience in the coordination of mechanical/electromechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite and maintenance systems
  • English – elementary level
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency in Office applications and maintenance systems
  • Structured and analytical approach
  • Knowledge of electrical/PLC systems is an asset
  • Mastery of CMMS software (Maximo, karlmaster);
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Being able to lead the technicians involved;
  • Team working ;
