Turkish Wedding Tradition

There is a lot of food and dancing at a Turkish bride. Typically, the couple’s household pays for it all. The evening begins with a service called « gelin alma ( turkey girl » to collect the wedding), where guests go to the princess’s house on foot, or by car if they are too much ahead. A symbol is also put up to mark the occasion.

Before the official ceremony, the vicar’s friends torture him with all sorts of tasks like making him wander around the town barefoot, covering him in slippery ingredients and so on. If any of Damat Donatma’s companions doze off during the festivals, they are forced to doze off by pouring cold water over them in the morning. In this way, they can demonstrate that their bride deserves their assistance.

Persons approach the couple to pin gold cash or money onto the belt after the official relationship is over. Whether that means purchasing a home or any other necessities, this cash is intended to assist them in starting their new lives together.

The halay is another significant element of a Turkish wedding. Diverse regions have their own modifications, but it’s a form of traditions dancing accompanied by a davul and a zurna. In Trabzon, for illustration, people eat bakery over the bride’s mind when she enters her dad’s house to depict abundance and prosperity. Children frequently block the roads to the bridal convoy during the actual wedding to get tips from them.
