{"id":2439,"date":"2020-03-27T11:41:26","date_gmt":"2020-03-27T10:41:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/louma-jobs.com\/cm\/?p=2439"},"modified":"2020-03-27T11:43:03","modified_gmt":"2020-03-27T10:43:03","slug":"accountant-emploi-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/louma-jobs.com\/cameroun\/2020\/03\/27\/accountant-emploi-service\/","title":{"rendered":"ACCOUNTANT &#8211; Emploi Service"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ACCOUNTANT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Accountant<\/strong>&nbsp;will be expected to perform accounting functions and conducts the theory and practice of recording, classifying, examining and analyzing data and records of financial transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\/She will review and consolidate Country Office financials on a monthly basis, processes and records journal entries, cash receipts\/field cash management and wire payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maintains general ledger accounts and supporting sub-ledgers and produces various accounting reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The position will be based in&nbsp;<strong>Bafoussam, Cameroon&nbsp;<\/strong>and will report to the Finance Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Areas of Responsibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Applies accounting principles and practices to a limited range of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting and\/or other fiscal functions.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Provides support for field programs by conducting live meeting training on financial systems and processes.<\/li><li>Works with Global Program Management (GPM) staff to help them understand the financial aspects of the assigned Country Offices.<\/li><li>Reviews Country Office monthly financial reports for month end closings involving cash and travel reconciliations, accuracy of reports, and cost allowances.<\/li><li>Work may include reconciliation of accounts or reports, examination of various financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to guidelines, and maintenance of subsidiary ledgers.<\/li><li>Assists in various financial analysis projects and closure of accounting records.<\/li><li>Reconciles US based sub recipients with the General Ledger accounts.<\/li><li>Prepares reports and statements requiring interpretation and analysis<\/li><li>Reviews inter department cash requests and journal entries.<\/li><li>Assists with internal and external audit request.<\/li><li>Prepares field office risk assessment reports.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or its International Equivalent &#8211; Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Related Field<\/li><li>3-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting firm or a large company<\/li><li>Proficiency in spreadsheet software required.<\/li><li>Must demonstrate excellent analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English and French.<\/li><li>Prior team lead experience preferred. Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).<\/li><li>Exceptional skills in automated accounting systems and use of Excel spreadsheets.<\/li><li>Excellent record of accurate and on-time reporting to donor agencies.<\/li><li>Knowledge in generally-accepted accounting, budgeting and fiscal control principles.<\/li><li>Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with NGO partners, community-based organizations and international donor agencies.<\/li><li>Explains basic accounting trends and variations from prior periods, budget and\/or forecast. Resolves basic issues with ledger accounts and internal policies and procedures.<\/li><li>Demonstrates an understanding of system functionality to provide answers for financial requests.<\/li><li>Demonstrated leadership qualities, depth and breadth of financial management expertise.<\/li><li>Strong interpersonal, writing and oral presentation skills in French and English.<\/li><li>Ability to work independently and manage a high volume workflow.<\/li><li>For Cameroon nationals or individuals with due authorization to work in Cameroon only.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Int\u00e9ress\u00e9(e)&nbsp; par cette offre&nbsp;?
