Location<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Program Department \u2013 DRM Country Office<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Date<\/strong><\/td><td>02\/01\/2020<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Reports to&nbsp;<\/strong>(position):<\/td><td><strong>Disaster Risk Manager<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Purpose:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>How does this post support Plan\u2019s strategy and mission?<\/td><td>Provide support to the program department, especially DRM team in the follow-up key processes and tasks related to DRM with a special focus on the development of the DPP<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dimensions of Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Report to the Disaster Risk Manager<\/li><li>Ensure timely production of meetings and workshop reports<\/li><li>Information management<\/li><li>Support the monitoring process of DRM activities<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Typical Responsibilities &#8211; Key End Results of Position:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWhat\u201d is done and \u201cwhy\u201d, but not \u201chow\u201d; include indicators for success<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Establish a check-list of documents required for the development of DPP at Plan International<\/li><li>Establish an excel sheet to follow-up the MPA (Minimum Preparedness actions) existing in the country<\/li><li>Develop, according to the DPP4 a check list of a quality criteria for a good DPP<\/li><li>Support the preparation and facilitation of each consultation session in the development process of the DPP<\/li><li>Ensure secretary of each DRM meeting or workshop<\/li><li>Support the writing of the DPP<\/li><li>Ensure regular updating of the DRM online library<\/li><li>Attend each Friday a weekly meeting with DRM for the summary of the week and planning of the next week<\/li><li>Submit a monthly report at the beginning of each month (before the end of the first week)<\/li><li>Support any activity of DRM<\/li><li>If need be, take part to supervision field visits<\/li><li>When needed, attend coordination meeting with the DRM<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dealing with Problems:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Ability to solve problems and&nbsp;thinking strategically<\/li><li>Introducing innovations for programs design and resource mobilisation&nbsp;<\/li><li>Providing advice<\/li><li>A source&nbsp;of expertise.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Communications and Working Relationships:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Working contacts inside and outside the organization; note if heavy lifting, climbing, excess travel, etc.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typically office environment with participation in field visit and meetings in Plan International Cameroon Implementing zone<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Level of Contact with Children:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The position will be based at the Country Office with few visit in the field with the possibility to facilitate some activities with children, so the contact with children is average<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learning activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participating in various activities such as data collection, writing meeting reports with the DRM, updating the DRM library online, participating in sessions to facilitate the document development process during consultations, online training on DRM guidance and recommendations &#8230;
