Purpose:  <\/strong>How does this post support Plan\u2019s strategy and mission?<\/td>Responsible for driving Plan\u2019s staff, goods and materials to and from the Country Office and Program Unit towards implementation of the Country\u2019s program.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n

  • Area of Responsibility \u2013 Country Office or Program Unit depending of driver allocation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n

    Typical Responsibilities – Key End Results of Position:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

    \u201cWhat\u201d is done and \u201cwhy\u201d, but not \u201chow\u201d; include indicators for success<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

    • Drive professionally and defensively to ensure safety and protection of staff at all times without any incidents of accidents or injuries,<\/li>
    • Ensure vehicle is maintained as per the maintenance schedule of the vehicle to enhance longevity of vehicle with no reports of frequent breakdowns or malfunctioning of vehicle,<\/li>
    • Ensure that vehicle movement and mileage are duly recorded in the vehicle\u2019s logbook to keep and track vehicle movement without any reports of carjacking,<\/li>
    • Ensure that the vehicle is always cleaned to enhance its state and notify Administrative Coordinator at least 2 months before the expiry date of the vehicles documents (insurance\/road worthiness certificate etc) for renewal without any queries from the MTTU\/Police,<\/li>
    • Dispatch local mail to addressees, keep and maintain communication with our clients without any reports of missing mails,<\/li>
    • Comply with Plan\u2019s Child Protection Policy at all times to safeguard and protect the child at all times without any reports or incidents of child abuse,<\/li>
    • Comply with Plan\u2019s Fraud Policy at all times to safeguard and protect Plan\u2019s assets and reputation of honesty,<\/li>
    • Perform any other duties to be assigned to support the attainment of organizational goals.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n

      Dealing with Problems:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

      Complexity of problems handled & the degree of investigation, analysis, & creative thinking required to solve them<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

      This includes how much freedom the position has to make decisions; for example, \u201cmay approve invoices up to $1,000.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

      • Observe, anticipate and  drive defensively to safeguard life and property  always,<\/li>
      • Exhibit a good sense of judgment and responsibility while driving,<\/li>
      • In case of accident, make sure a Police report is made before moving,<\/li>
      • Works with minimum supervision.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n

        Communications and Working Relationships:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

        Working contacts inside and outside the organization; include the purpose and level (high, medium, low) of the contact<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

        • Low contact with service providers and suppliers for the collection of quotations, receiving and dispatch of goods, material, equipments, mails, deposits etc.<\/li>
        • Maintains a  high contact with all country office and program unit staff to facilitate prompt  movement of staff towards the implementation of  Plan\u2019s  programs and activities<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n

          Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, and Experience Required to Achieve Role\u2019s Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

          Gained through education, training, & experience<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

          Qualification and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

          – GCE O level\/SSS<\/p>\n\n\n

          – At least 5 years driving experience in the formal sector<\/p>\n\n\n

          – Valid driving license with at least class B<\/p>\n\n\n

          – At least 5 years experience in the formal sector.<\/p>\n\n\n

          – Experience in the NGO sector preferably with child-related development issues, would be an advantage<\/p>\n\n\n

          This position entails 70% travelling time within Plan offices and communities in the Program Units with 30% of the time on office related activities.<\/p>\n\n\n

          Low contact<\/em><\/strong>:     No contact or very low frequency of interaction<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

          Mid contact<\/em><\/strong>:     Occasional interaction with children<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

          High level<\/em><\/strong>:        Frequent interaction with children<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

          Mid contact- the job responsibilities of this position require the post holder to have occasional one-to-one contact with children and it is expected that children shall be protected at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n
