Job Role Summary<\/h2>\n\n\n

The Tax Advisor receives guidance from Business Services and Controller\u2019s hierarchy and has the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. \u00a0Deliver tax assistance or tax advisory services to all of the company\u2019s Business Lines as required<\/li>
  2. \u00a0Build relationships and interact with internal clients to provide tax planning and expertise<\/li>
  3. \u00a0Manage and coordinate tax audits<\/li>
  4. \u00a0Prepare monthly tax returns, including the annual tax return in conjunction with the Accounting Team<\/li>
  5. \u00a0Identify and mitigate tax risks<\/li>
  6. \u00a0Manage tax compliance process<\/li>
  7. \u00a0Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliation<\/li>
  8. \u00a0Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n

    Work location is Douala, with periodic trips to COTCO sites (Dompta, Belabo, Kribi and offshore), depending on operations requirements.Expected Level of Proficiency<\/p>\n\n\n

    The Candidate must have a master degree in law, taxation or accounting (BAC +5) with proven work experience as a Tax Advisor or Consultant, and excellent knowledge of tax compliance and all types of tax returns.<\/p>\n\n\n

    Must be able to speak English and French, with the ability to communicate in English over the phone and via email. Knowledge of SAP Enterprise Accounting System is an added advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n
