Georgetown University, through CGHPI, has recently received an award from U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S. CDC) through funding from the U.S President\u2019s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to support HIV response efforts in Cameroon for achievement of HIV epidemic control to implement a program titled Translating Data and Evidence into Impact (TIDE). As a result, CGHPI is recruiting for the following program implementation positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All prospective candidates must be fluent in French and working knowledge of English. These positions will be based in Yaound\u00e9 or Bertoua. CGHPI is operating in Cameroon as Georgetown Global Health LLC (GGHC). GGHC Office Positions <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Position Title: Facility Nurse Reports to: CTA Coordinator\/ Nursing Care Specialist<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Location of Work: Center Region<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Number of positions: 10Position Overview: The Facility Nurse will support patient care and treatment of patients at facility level through the provision of nursing and medical care as appropriate to ensure optimized care continuum for patients. Essential Functions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Provide services at ART clinic as a Nurse where she\/he is attached on behalf of TIDE ProjectActively Participate in all daily\/ weekly\/monthly data review meetings at the facilityActively Participate in all site held meetings<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Work closely with site Coordinator and Major to Mentor and oversee the day-to-day activities of APS and Data staff at assigned sitesParticipate and carry out QI projects with trained Team members<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ensure the quality of HIV care (in all program areas) within her unit at his\/her facility for persons living with HIV\/AIDS are optimal and in line with national ART guidelines<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ensure assigned targets relating to HIV care at the facility are met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assist with submitting of validated daily\/weekly\/monthly reports as required<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be the link between GU and the assigned facility on matters related to services provided by other stakeholders with any form of engagement with GU including CBOs and Bikers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Play a leading role in the handshake model with KP, OVC and other partners working with the facilityEnsure logistics necessary for undertaking various activities are requested on time and activity reports are submitted timely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These activities may include but not limited to: support groups, outreach activities, catch up activities, extended hours and weekend clinics.Undertake disbursement and retirement of funds for the planned facility activities mentioned above as required<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the facility CTA Coordinator\/GU supervisor as a team member<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Qualifications, Skills and Specifications <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Registered Nurse, Nurse Mid-wife, preference for HIV Nurse Prescriber (HNP)Registered with necessary regulatory bodies<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minimum of three (3) years working experience in HIV Care and Treatment\/PMTCT programsTeam player with good communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
