High responsibility fuels your motivation? Mastering an accounting software gets you going? You aspire to manage all aspects of accounting and finance of a young and growing company? We want you as the Finance Officer for our schools in Cameroon!! You will be responsible for the school\u2019s financial health and work with the school Principals, the Regional Finance Manager who is based in Abidjan and the group Chief Financial Officer who is based at the Enko Education\u2019s headquarters in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n

We are expecting the following results from our Finance Officers:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The school\u2019s accounting is well-maintained and up-to-date<\/p>\n
School payments are up to date and there is a fluent relationship with financial institutions<\/p>\n
The financial planning and the reporting on to the Finance Department is done with the appropriate level of detail<\/p>\n
The school\u2019s finances are compliant with national tax laws and legal regulations along with international and group standards<\/p>\n
Parents relations are managed with rigor, tact, and empathy<\/p>\n
School\u2019s administration is done efficiently and the administrative files are well-organized<\/p>\n
School leadership team is continuously assisted regarding financial\/economical\/cash flow related aspects<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
As an ideal candidate, you:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Are fluent in spoken and written French or English (knowledge of the other language is a plus)<\/p>\n
Have a Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent in Accounting\/Finance\/Audit related fields<\/p>\n
Have at least 2-3 years of work experience in Accounting\/Audit related fields<\/p>\n
Have knowledge of tax laws and financial regulations in Cameroon<\/p>\n
Master Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and the accounting software Sage<\/p>\n
Are a good analytical thinker and you have a high attention to detail<\/p>\n
Are objective-driven and able to work autonomously under minimal supervision<\/p>\n
Are confident to interact with parents; able to handle pressure with composure<\/p>\n
Are organized, know how to prioritize and multitask<\/p>\n
Share our excitement and understand the challenges of offering affordable international education in Africa.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The applicant must be legally authorized to work in Cameroon. Knowing about Cameroon’s education landscape is a plus.<\/p>\n
