{"id":55457,"date":"2025-10-03T11:33:05","date_gmt":"2025-10-03T09:33:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/louma-jobs.com\/cameroun\/?post_type=emplois&#038;p=55457"},"modified":"2025-10-03T11:33:56","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T09:33:56","slug":"nurse-migration-health","status":"publish","type":"emplois","link":"https:\/\/louma-jobs.com\/cameroun\/recrutements-emplois-stages\/2025\/nurse-migration-health\/","title":{"rendered":"NURSE &#8211; Migration Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description<br \/>\nUnder the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM), the technical\/overall supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer (CMHO) and the direct supervision of the Senior Migration Health Nurse, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Yaound\u00e9 and\/or Douala, Cameroon<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities<br \/>\nPerform daily nursing activities in the Migration Health Assessment Clinic (MHAC) to fulfil the technical requirements of the resettlement countries in the areas of:<br \/>\nMedical examinations,<br \/>\nSuch as checking vital signs, weight, height, visual acuity;<br \/>\nBlood, urine or sputum collection as required;<br \/>\nImaging;<br \/>\nLaboratory testing;<br \/>\nVaccinations;<br \/>\nTB management;<br \/>\nTreatment and referrals;<br \/>\nPre-departure procedures and medical movements;<br \/>\nDocumentation, certification and information transmission; and,<br \/>\nOther technical areas as may be required.<br \/>\nProvide information and detailed explanations to the migrants and\/or refugees in relation to:<br \/>\nThe migration health assessment process; and,<br \/>\nTreatments and referrals.<br \/>\nEnsure proper identification and follow-up by:<br \/>\nComprehensive history taking;<br \/>\nAccurate and thorough Biodata collection;<br \/>\nEnsuring ID verification for each step of the health assessment process; and,<br \/>\nKeeping a register of applicants who undergo health investigations and testing.<br \/>\n      4. Follow and implement the Health Assessment Programme\u2019s check lists and SOP\u2019s and maintain standard universal precautions within MHAC<\/p>\n<p>      5. Verify samples of sputum, blood or others are properly transported to the laboratory or previously designated location.<\/p>\n<p>      6. Maintain and monitor the MHAC pharmacy, stock, medical kits and emergency kits within the MHAC and for medical escorts if applicable.<\/p>\n<p>      7. Provide pre and\/or post counselling to migrants or refugees on TB or HIV education, prevention and management as appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>      8. Prepare administrative reports and program updates as necessary.<\/p>\n<p>      9. Support the planning and execution of mobile missions if applicable.<\/p>\n<p>      10. Assist with pre-departure documents, briefings and preparations as necessary.<\/p>\n<p>      11. Perform medical escort duties when required to ensure migrants receive continued care throughout all phases of migration (before departure, during the journey and at the final destination).<\/p>\n<p>      12. Maintain collaborative relationships with various partners to facilitate the follow up and relevant information sharing. Partners include internal IOM departments, other health providers, panel physicians, embassies other UN agencies or NGO\u2019s and others as applicable.<\/p>\n<p>      13. Collect statistical information and share with the Senior Migration Health Nurse or CMHO as per preset and agreed upon format.<\/p>\n<p>      14.
