About the Role:
\nOAG is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented M&E Intern to join our M&E Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in international development, humanitarian aid, or public health, and a passion for using data to drive decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional M&E environment.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\u2022 Assist the M&E Unit in the development of proposal for tender opportunity
\n\u2022 Assist the M&E Unit in the development and implementation of M&E frameworks and data collection tools.
\n\u2022 Support field staff in data gathering activities, including surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews.
\n\u2022 Help with data entry, cleaning, and management using software such as Excel, KOBO Toolbox, or ODK.
\n\u2022 Contribute to the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and insights.
\n\u2022 Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
\n\u2022 Provide general support to the M&E team.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Required Skills:
\n\u2022 Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree program in a relevant field such as: International Development, Social Sciences (Anthropology, Sociology), Economics, Statistics, Public Health, or Project Management.
\n\u2022 Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
\n\u2022 Excellent command of written and spoken English.
\n\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
\n\u2022 Familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., KOBO, ODK, SurveyCTO) and basic data analysis is a strong advantage.
\n\u2022 Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
\n\u2022 Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.<\/p>\n
Preferred Assets:
\n\u2022 Professional proficiency in French and Englsih is highly desirable.
\n\u2022 Previous experience, including volunteer, in the humanitarian or international development sector.
\n\u2022 Experience with AI in monitoring and evaluation
\n\u2022 Experience with data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, Python, NVivo) is a plus.<\/p>\n
