We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to oversee our Alcohol \/ Non Alcohol Beverages importation portfolio in Douala. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales, marketing, inventory, and client relationships while ensuring smooth operations from distribution, forecasting and payment schedules. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and leadership skills to drive growth in the market.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Importation, Logistics & Inventory Management:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Oversee the importation process, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and submitted on time.
\n\u2022 Handle container shipments, ensuring timely clearance and smooth logistics from the port to the warehouse.
\n\u2022 Work closely with the freight forwarder (transitaire) to facilitate customs clearance and avoid delays.
\n\u2022 Ensure compliance with local import regulations, including obtaining necessary vignettes and approvals for alcohol distribution.
\n\u2022 Monitor and track shipment schedules, ensuring accurate reporting of expected delivery timelines
\n\u2022 Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock rotation to prevent product expiration or damage.
\n\u2022 Work closely with warehouse sta to streamline storage, unloading, and distribution operations. Sales & Business Development:
\n\u2022 Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
\n\u2022 Conduct regular market analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
\n\u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with on trade and o trade clients.
\n\u2022 Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and distributors.
\n\u2022 Lead and monitor sales team performance to achieve monthly and annual targets.<\/p>\n
Forecasting, Payment & Reporting:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Analyze historical sales data and market trends to create accurate sales forecasts and purchasing plans.
\n\u2022 Monitor and follow up on payments from clients to ensure timely collection.
\n\u2022 Review payment due dates for all orders and proactively manage overdue clients.
\n\u2022 Implement an e ective payment tracking system and take action on late payments, including reminders and escalation when necessary.
\n\u2022 Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, prospecting activities, stock depletion, and payment status.<\/p>\n
Marketing & Brand Promotion:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Develop and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and sales.
\n\u2022 Organize tastings, promotional events, and partnerships with industry stakeholders.
\n\u2022 Ensure e ective merchandising and placement of products at retail locations.<\/p>\n
Required Skills & Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
\n\u2022 3 to 5 years of experience in sales and importation, preferably in the wine, spirits, or FMCG sector.
\n\u2022 Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies and forecasts.
\n\u2022 Strong understanding of importation, logistics, and customs regulations in Cameroon.
\n\u2022 Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
\n\u2022 Bilingual: Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written).
\n\u2022 Proficient in Microsoft O ice (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
\n\u2022 Strong leadership and team management skills.
\n\u2022 Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.<\/p>\n
