To achieve this, Shwari Health Cameroon uses proven community strategies to identify HIV infected children and adolescents, refer them to health facilities for initiation on treatment, support and accompany them through treatment to ensure they remain in care and achieve viral suppression. Our mission is to be one of the most sought-after implementations science associations in Cameroon that uses evidence-based strategies to effectively cover the \u2018Know-Do\u2019 gaps in the provision of health services. We aim to achieve this through the application of modern evidence generation and synthesis methods to understand operational contexts so as to devise strategies that could make the implementation efforts more effective and efficient. SHWARI Health Association, in partnership with Georgetown University&rsquo;s Center for Global Health Practice and Impact (CGHPI), the Government of the Republic of Cameroon&rsquo;s Regional Technical Groups (RTGs), will be implementing a project titled SAFECARE-Cameroon, which is a 5-year CDC\/PEPFAR-Funded project. SAFECARE-Cameroon\u2019s goal is to develop, implement, and sustain comprehensive facility and community-based HIV services for children, adolescents, and adults in Cameroon in PEPFAR supported regions of the country and support the country to fast track its progress to achieve HIV epidemic control. As a result, SHWARI Health Association Cameroon (SHAC) is recruiting for the following program implementation positions. All prospective candidates must be fluent in French and working knowledge of English. These positions will be based in Yaound\u00e9 or Bertoua.<\/p>\n<p>SHAC Office Positions<\/p>\n<p>Position:        Finance Assistant, SAFECARE Project -Cameroon<br \/>\nReports to:        Finance Manager<br \/>\nLocation of work:    Yaound\u00e9 or Bertoua, Cameroon<br \/>\nNumber of positions:        02<br \/>\nPosition Overview:    This position performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in within the program\u2019s finance unit.  S\/he will also be responsible for recording business transactions, entering daily data into the general ledger system, ensuring files are complete and maintained as needed, and directly assists other accounting personnel.  The accounting clerk will also assist and collaborate with the Finance Manager and Accountant on financial matters and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting.  In addition, the position holder will generally be responsible for compliance oversight of the awards.<\/p>\n<p>Essential Functions<br \/>\n\u2022    Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors.<br \/>\n\u2022    Research, track, and resolve accounting problems, and investigate questionable data.<br \/>\n\u2022    Compile and sort invoices and checks.<br \/>\n\u2022    Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.<br \/>\n\u2022    Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).<br \/>\n\u2022    Ensure daily posting of transaction into accounting software.<br \/>\n\u2022    Process travel and activities advances to staff and ensuring advance reconciliation in a timely manner and processing expense reports;<br \/>\n\u2022    Ensure appropriate and accurate filling (physical and electronical) of all the financial documents and vouchers generated within finance department.<br \/>\n\u2022    Ensure financial procedures are correctly followed in incurring expenses in line with organization approval processes.<br \/>\n\u2022    Prepare all relevant voucher and payment documents and ensure appropriate signature are in place before incurring expense.<br \/>\n\u2022    Accomplish other tasks as requested by the Finance Manager, Country Program Director, and various headquarters staff<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\u2022    Basic Degree in accounting (ACCA or CPA will be an added advantage) with a minimum of one-year post qualification experience (working experience with International Organization will be an added advantage)<br \/>\n\u2022    Must be computer literate with an experience in at least an Accounting Package; knowledge of QuickBooks accounting package will be an added advantage<br \/>\n\u2022    Excellent knowledge of other computer software, MS Office and Excel especially<br \/>\n\u2022    Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and principles<br \/>\n\u2022    Must demonstrate a good understanding of Cameroon business environment<br \/>\n\u2022    Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills<br \/>\n\u2022    Must be flexible and be able to work independently and as part of a team<br \/>\n\u2022    Must demonstrate attention to detail and ability to multi-task<br \/>\n\u2022    Must demonstrate ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information<br \/>\n\u2022    Must demonstrate high level of accuracy and efficiency<br \/>\n\u2022    Ability to communicate in French fluently; ability to communicate in English will be an added advantage but not mandatory<br \/>\n\u2022    Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.<\/p>\n<p>Work Environment<br \/>\nSHWARI Health Association Cameroon (SHAC) \/Context \/ Required competencies<br \/>\nCore values<br \/>\n\u2022    Commitment: Actively contributes to achieving organizational goals<br \/>\n\u2022    Diversity: Respects others and values their diverse perspectives and contributions<br \/>\n\u2022    Integrity: Acts in a manner consistent with the Organization\u2019s core values and organizational principles<br \/>\n\u2022    Accountability: Takes responsibility for own action and delegated work<br \/>\nCore competencies<br \/>\n\u2022    Communication: Actively works to achieve clear and transparent communication with colleagues and with stakeholders of the Organization<br \/>\n\u2022    Collaboration: Works effectively with others on common goals and fosters a positive, trust-based working environment<br \/>\n\u2022    Planning: Works towards the achievement of goals in a structured and measured manner<br \/>\n\u2022    Analysis and decision-making: Analyses available information, draws well-founded conclusions and takes appropriate decisions<br \/>\n\u2022    Initiative-taking: Proposes and initiates new ideas, activities and projects<br \/>\n\u2022    Flexibility: Responds positively and effectively to changing circumstances<br \/>\nManagerial competencies (for positions with managerial responsibilities)<br \/>\n\u2022    Leadership: Provides a clear sense of direction, builds trust and creates an enabling environment<br \/>\n\u2022    Strategic thinking: Identifies goals that advance the organizational agenda and develops plans for achieving them<br \/>\n\u2022    Managing performance: Helps to maximize team performance by providing active feedback and skill development opportunities<\/p>\n<p>HOW TO APPLY :<br \/>\nInstructions for Submitting Applications:<br \/>\n1.
