For our operations in Cameroon, we are looking for:<br>MHPSS AND PROTECTION SENIOR OFFICER M\/F<br>Base: Kumba (south west region)<br>Number of positions : 1<br>Contract duration: Until 31 April 2026<br>Start date: 01\/5\/2025<br>Supervised by: Multisectoral Program Manager or MHPSS program Manager<br>Technical Supervisor: MHCP Head of Department<br>Location : Kumba South-West Region<br>OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:<br>Mission 1: Supervise psychosocial care activities<br>Activities:<br>&#8211; Ensure the implementation of mental health activities and care practices<br>&#8211; Ensure the establishment of psychological follow-ups for beneficiaries<br>&#8211; Guarantee the follow-up of the defined objectives<br>&#8211; Guarantee a gender-sensitive approach in the implementation of activities<br>&#8211; Observe activities in the field to determine the needs of the team and offer continuous training with<br>the support of the PM<br>&#8211; Organize and facilitate team meetings to examine each situation<br>&#8211; Be responsible for the proper management of stocks and logistical aspects related to activities.<br>Mission 2: Supervise the training activities of local partners<br>Activities:<br>&#8211; Ensure the implementation of capacity building activities<br>&#8211; Identify key people in the community and educate them<br>&#8211; Participate in the development of educational frameworks adapted to the profile of participants;<br>&#8211; Provide training according to the AAH trainer protocol. Provide a report of the training as well as the<br>follow-up of the people trained<br>&#8211; Evaluate participants&rsquo; knowledge before and after the sessions<br>&#8211; Train health staff and support them in assessing the needs of beneficiaries to determine the<br>problems encountered, then identify with team members those who should be referred for follow-up,<br>either individually or in groups;<br>&#8211; Be responsible for the proper management of stocks and logistical aspects related to training<br>activities.<br>Mission 3: Supervise the project team and coordinate activities<br>Activities<br>&#8211; Make the weekly schedule and coordinate the tasks of each team member;<br>&#8211; Supervise and train each member of the team on the different intervention sites.2<br>Mission 4: Support the implementation of the referral system<br>Activities<br>&#8211; Be able to assist psychosocial workers to identify the limits of his intervention and the needs of<br>specialized care<br>&#8211; Know the specialized structures, their support methods and referral mechanisms<br>&#8211; To be able to refer beneficiaries in distress to partners according to protocols<br>&#8211; Being able to maintain and support relationships with partners<br>&#8211; Identify the obstacles and suggest improvements<br>Mission 5: Compile data and prepare program activity reports<br>Activities<br>&#8211; Contribute to the collection and check the accuracy of statistical data by updating the supervision<br>team&rsquo;s databases;<br>&#8211; Ensure the proper use and understanding of monitoring tools by all TPS;<br>&#8211; Analyze the information collected and participate in program evaluation;<br>&#8211; Prepare quantitative and narrative monthly APRs on request and in the absence of the Program<br>Manager;<br>&#8211; Evaluate the program&rsquo;s effectiveness and highlight its progress and objectives;<br>&#8211; Write the technical part of the weekly reports and forward them to the Program Manager.<br>Mission 6: Ensure the protection of project beneficiaries<br>Activities<br>&#8211; Participate in MHPSS meetings and make proposals for improving overall care.<br>&#8211; Contribute to sensitize partners to the development of respectful and benevolent behavior<br>DIPLOMAS\/STUDIES\/EXPERIENCE :<br>&#8211; Master&rsquo;s degree in clinical psychology, Psychopathology, Clinical counselling, or any related<br>equivalent degree in Social, and Human sciences with at least 02 years of clinical experience in the<br>field of psychosocial support in a similar position<br>&#8211; Ideally in-depth knowledge of AAH&rsquo;s MHPSS intervention framework<br>REQUIRED SKILLS :<br>&#8211; Sense of confidentiality<br>&#8211; Good knowledge of psychological care and individual and group psychosocial support, adults and<br>children<br>&#8211; Good knowledge of psycho-trauma care<br>&#8211; Good knowledge of child development<br>&#8211; Matrise in using some basic computer software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel<br>&#8211; Ability to design, implement and facilitate training for the team and partners on SMPS themes<br>&#8211; Experience in team management and management<br>&#8211; Experience in data collection \/ reporting<br>&#8211; Communication, listening and observation skills<br>&#8211; Good team spirit &#8211; Ability to work in a team<br>&#8211; Autonomy &#8211; Creativity &#8211; Flexibility \u2013<br>&#8211; Good knowledge of the area and customs<br>&#8211; Knowledge of the local languages of the work area (pidgin).<br>&#8211; Commit to respecting and applying ACF&rsquo;s gender policy &#8211; Integrating the gender approach into<br>&#8211; Motorbike riding skill<br>COMMITMENT TO GENDER EQUALITY<br>&#8211; Commit to respecting and applying the Action Against Hunger gender policy<br>&#8211; Integrating the gender approach into activities3<br>&#8211; Contribute to a work environment taking into account the specificities of each other and avoid any<br>discrimination<br>SAFEGUARDING<br>Action Against Hunger believes that everyone with whom it comes into contact regardless of age,<br>gender identity, disability, ethnic origin or any other ground of discrimination has the right to be<br>protected from any form of harm, of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
