CONTEXT
About Good Neighbors:
Good Neighbors is a humanitarian and Development international Korean NGO founded in Seoul in March 1991. It is present in 51 countries around the world and aims to make the world a better, hunger-free place, where people live together in harmony. It focuses on Community development to protect children’s rights and encourage community autonomy.
Good Neighbors started its operations in Cameroon since 2014. It has a head Office is in Yaound\u00e9 and field Offices in Maroua and Mbalmayo. Good Neighbors Cameroon\u2019s (GNCMR) work is focused on community development, implementing projects in the sectors of Health, Child Protection, livelihood (Income Generation Activities), food security, Education, Water and Sanitation hygiene and Environment. GNCMR works with different international partners such as the United Nations and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges. The organization also targets different international donors for funding opportunities.
I. BACKGROUND
Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) is committed to achieve its mission and goals and supporting the Government\u2019s strategies for sustainable development in the Country through its projects and programs. It is currently implementing many different projects and programs across the Country. In order to showcase our actions and impact through our work, GNCMR seeks to produce high quality video content that captures our life changing work<\/p>\n\n\n\n
II.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
From the above background, Good Neighbors Cameroon is seeking the services of a Professional Videographer\/Photographer to capture and edit high quality visual content showcasing our program activities, our organization\u2019s work and impact in the Far North Region of Cameroon Equip GNCMR staff The purpose of this documentary style video production is to;
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrate accountability to our donors and stakeholders
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Elevate our brand awareness and reputation
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mobilize resources to support future initiatives
By sharing our story through compelling visuals, we aim to inspire, educate and motivate our audience to join us in making a meaningful change in the lives of those we serve.
The Professional Videographer\/Photographer may decide to work with a collaborator or assistants to facilitate their work (This collaborator or assistant is NOT the responsibility of Good Neighbors Cameroon).
Good Neighbors Cameroon is responsible for;
1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensuring access to all information about the required videos
2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Make all prior preparations for the filming at the community level
3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Transportation from Maroua to Mehe village for the filming process
4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensuring follow-up till the final video content and photographs are delivered<\/p>\n\n\n\n
III.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The Videographer is expected to produce two 5 minute documentary style videos each entitled, \u2018A day in the life of a sponsored child\u2019 and \u2018My journey to bleeding with Pride. PERIOD! Specifically, the videographer will;
1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attend a working session with the Assistant Program Manager to develop a script for the suggested footage
2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Visit Mehe village in the Far North Region to shoot the videos in collaboration with Good Neighbors Cameroon staff (This should be done using high quality videography and photography equipment including a drone, good microphones). The estimated number of days for the shoot is 4 days
3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Take at least 30 high quality photos during the filming process
4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Clean and edit all video clips including English subtitles, English Voice overs, Good Neighbors Cameroon\u2019s logo and royalty free sounds to create compelling narratives
5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Incorporate graphics, animations and other visual elements to enhance storytelling
6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Produce trailers of the two main videos to be shared on GNCMR\u2019s socials
7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate with the Assistant Program Manager to refine the video edits
8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Use any additional elements provided by Good Neighbors Cameroon for the video editing
9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Share all raw video footages, images and the edited video content with Good Neighbors Cameroon through a hard drive<\/p>\n\n\n\n
IV. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
1. Two quality documentary style videos of 5 minutes each
2. Deliver the videos in various formats that can be shared in multiple platforms including social media and presentations
3. A collection of high quality pictures (At least 30) taken during the filming process that can be suitable for documentation and promotional use<\/p>\n\n\n\n
V.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At least 5 years\u2019 experience in professional Videography\/photography
2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A very strong portfolio showcasing high quality creative work. (A link to the Videographer\u2019s latest work should be shared for review)
3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proven track record of filming and editing compelling documentaries
4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated expertise in developing engaging video scripts and scenes
5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to deliver within the timeline provided.
6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A proof of all required equipment to produce the video and take quality photographs
7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Relevant training certification in film making, cinematography or related fields will be considered as a significant advantage
8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Any experience of similar work for an International Organizations will be an added advantage<\/p>\n\n\n\n
VI. OWNERSHIP AND RIGHTS
Good Neighbors Cameroon will retain exclusive ownership and rights to all videos and photographs that will be produced and edited during this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
VII. COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
The selected professional must comply with Good Neighbors safeguarding policy to ensure the protection and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
