ABOUT THE ROLE
The Accounting & reporting Manager manages accounting activities in accordance with group-wide (international) \/ national accounting principles and standards for the assigned scope. This job ensures the accuracy of the organization\u2019s financial statements and compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, as well as reporting requirements. The Accounting & reporting Manager is assisted by the CoE Accounting, Reporting & Sr Manager Africa on highly complex and critical issues. This job is responsible for developing and supervising Accountants, providing guidance as well as support on complex activities, ad hoc requests, and key issues in the execution of duties.
\u00a0KEY RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDES
\u25cf Coordinating work on General Accounting process IFRS & OHADA
\u25cf Prepare financial statements, close the books, and prepare the necessary paperwork for financial reporting purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Govern the quality, consistency, and integrity of financials. Develop, deploy, and ensure compliance with accounting policies as well as directives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Decide on the accounting treatment of individual complex issues (judgment-based perspective). \u25cf Develop, distribute, and monitor accounting policies and procedures<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Oversee internal control frameworks and ensure the design efficiency as well as operating effectiveness of internal controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Consult with various Finance and IM \/ IT committees to anticipate and address potential accounting issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Develop and share accounting expertise as well as knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Manage service level agreements with Finance Shared service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Services and drive the quality of end-to-end accounting processes together with Finance Shared Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Build, maintain, and coordinate relationships with external & internal stakeholders as well as the finance community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovative solutions and communicate them to the CoE Accounting, reporting & Risk Manager<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf To properly oversee an organization’s financial records, accounting managers need to adhere to various financial laws and regulations. This may include tax laws, financial reporting standards, and the generally accepted accounting principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Specialize in preparing, submitting tax returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Participating in global Accounting & Reporting process harmonization projects and initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ABOUT YOU<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Required academic & technical qualifications<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Master degree in a field of Finance\/accounting, Economics or comparable<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Minimum 5 years of professional experience at similar role<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf English business proficiency (written and spoken)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf ACCA, CPA or other accounting certification is a plus<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Can travel to others BC locations if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Travels required in Cameroon sites (Yaound\u00e9)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Essential experience & knowledge<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf 5-8 years\u2019 experience in finance as a manager with an emphasis on accounting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Leadership experience & team management<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B \/ food industries<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Participation in process transition is an advantage<\/p>\n\n\n\n
