For more information, visit www.ifc.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n IFC is looking to recruit an Investment Analyst for its Africa Infrastructure department. The department is responsible for sourcing, structuring, executing, and supervising pre-investment, investment and portfolio transactions in the core infrastructure sectors (power; transportation and logistics; telecoms, media and technology; utilities, municipal and environmental; and natural resources) across Africa. The position will be based in Douala, Cameroon, and the selected candidate will report to the Regional Industry Manager, Central Africa & Anglophone West Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Duties and Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Analyze financial statements and prepare financial models. \u2022 At least a Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree.
\u2022 Conduct industry, market and company research.
\u2022 Prepare project- and sector-related documents for internal and external audiences.
\u2022 Participate in all aspects of IFC’s project processing cycle from project development, through investment to disbursement, with a strong focus on achieving bankable projects.
\u2022 Support business development across all infrastructure sectors.
\u2022 Support the supervision of existing portfolio investments in the Africa region.
\u2022 Coordinate closely with a range of industry and regional colleagues in IFC and the wider World Bank Group.
\u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, global and regional private businesses, banking and multilateral partners and government officials to further develop infrastructure sectors and to develop specific investment opportunities.
Selection Criteria
\u2022 At least a Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree.
\u2022 2-4 years’ experience in project and credit analysis with a major financial institution, consulting company or large corporation is a plus, although very strong candidates with limited prior experience will also be considered.
\u2022 Strong financial, analytical and modeling skills.
\u2022 Team player with strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds.
\u2022 Local knowledge and experience of living and\/or working in African markets is a plus.
\u2022 Team-player with excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills in the required languages stipulated above, and ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds.
\u2022 Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Africa.
\u2022 Genuine commitment to sustainable development and to IFC’s \u2013 and the wider World Bank Group’s \u2013 mission, strategy and values.
