{"id":47045,"date":"2024-03-21T14:19:19","date_gmt":"2024-03-21T13:19:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/louma-jobs.com\/cameroun\/?post_type=emplois&#038;p=47045"},"modified":"2024-03-21T14:19:23","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T13:19:23","slug":"02-technical-advisors","status":"publish","type":"emplois","link":"https:\/\/louma-jobs.com\/cameroun\/recrutements-emplois-stages\/2024\/02-technical-advisors\/","title":{"rendered":"02 TECHNICAL ADVISORS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>CALL FOR&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>APPLICATIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF A&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>(02) TECHNICAL ADVISORS&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>FOR THE PROJECT PROMOTING TRANSFORMATIVE GENDER APPROACHES TO STRENGTHEN THE RESILIENCE OF CAMEROONIAN CIVIL SOCIETY WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE SOUTH-WEST\/NORTH-WEST REGIONS OF CAMEROON OF DEUTSCHE GESELLSCHAFT F\u00dcR INTERNATIONALE ZUSAMMENARBEIT (GIZ\/SoCiG) GmbH BASED IN (<\/strong><strong>BAMENDA AND BUEA<\/strong><strong>).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>General context<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To strengthen the social and economic participation of women, the objective of the Project (SoCiG) is \u201cCivil society organizations committed to gender equality have made a more effective contribution to the equal social and economic participation of the population of Cameroon, particularly in the North-West and South-West regions. \u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project intervention areas are all of Cameroon (component I, Output 1), particularly the North-West and South-West (component II, Output 2 to 4). The project is deployed based on an approach to achieve four (04) Outputs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Output 1: The individual and organizational capacities of Cameroonian civil society organized and committed to gender equality have been strengthened with a view to greater participation in political dialogue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Output 2: The formats supported by civil society actors to modify gender roles, resolve conflicts or promote social cohesion in the North-West and South-West have been strengthened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Output 3: The resilience of the population of conflict-affected communities in the North West and South West has improved thanks to the involvement of civil society committed to gender equality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Output 4: The contribution of civil society actors to the holistic care of survivors of gender-based violence in the North-West and South-West has increased.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To this end, the Civil Society Gender Project (GIZ\/SoCiG) is launching a call for applications for the recruitment of two&nbsp;<strong>(0<\/strong><strong>2<\/strong><strong>)&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Technical Advisors<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>for Outputs 2&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>to 4<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;based in&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Bamenda (1) and Buea (1)<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Core Tasks and Main activities<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical, organizational and substantive implementation of project measures and activities in the regions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In consultation with the line manager, assuming tasks related to planning, steering and monitoring the project \u2013 and to a certain extent with project administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specialist support to colleagues in bands 1, 2 and 3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsibility for the quality of the commission\u2019s outcomes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributions to the conceptual design of the project, particularly in the event of modification or realignment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical and substantive contributions to overarching issues in cooperation with commissioning parties\/clients, partners and other actors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributions to achieving the agreed objectives of the project, impulses for the further strategy development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In consultation with the project team colleagues and line manager, coordination of all issues within your area of work and ensure that they are dealt with promptly and competently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resolve issues that arise in the area of responsibility on the basis of existing rules and draw attention to more complex challenges to your team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If required support of other experts in familiarising themselves with and performing their tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tasks that are assigned by your supervisor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mapping of Civil Society organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Networking of Civil Society organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for Civil Society organizations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical monitoring of calls for applications for Civil Society organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical monitoring of local subsidies for Civil Society organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design, preparation and implementation and documentation of dialogues, workshops, seminars and other events on themes related to the project&rsquo;s areas of activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring of budgets allocated to activities on GIZ software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administrative management in accordance with the objectives of the SoCiG and the guidelines\/procedures of the GIZ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electronic and physical classification of files related to Output 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribution to the collection of data for monitoring results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribution to various reports including annual activity reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparation of reports and translations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In consultation with the communications manager, communication support, updating and collection of information on the activities and impact of the project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of synergies and added value between component 2 and component 1 of the project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Required q<\/strong><strong>ualifications:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>University degree\/Master&rsquo;s degree, in a specialty related to the objectives of the project (Social, economic, legal sciences) or a similar qualification<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Comp<\/strong><strong>e<\/strong><strong>tences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Good knowledge of the context, challenges and issues of Civil Society<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Very good knowledge of actors in civil society and local authorities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Very good knowledge of gender transformative approaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good knowledge of organizational development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good knowledge of financial monitoring of local subsidies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good Knowledge of livelihood approaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good Knowledge of social cohesion approaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of communication techniques focused on target groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of participatory methods and approaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of networking methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good knowledge of facilitation techniques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working skills in a multicultural environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Very good practical knowledge of the use of information and communication technologies (corresponding software as well as telephone, fax, e-mail, Internet) as well as computer applications (such as MS Office)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience at GIZ would be considered an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Very good written and oral command of the English and French languages, knowledge of German will be considered an asset&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professional experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Five years of professional experience including two years in a similar position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contract start date:&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>01.05.2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contract period:&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>2 years
