Context and rationale:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centre for Health Implementation and Translational Research (CHITRES) at the Fobang Institutes for Innovations in Science and Technology (FINISTECH) is seeking 30 experienced and dynamic data collectors and technical enumerators for a malaria project measuring the effect of single-course malaria chemoprevention on clearance of and protection from Plasmodium falciparum infection among children. These data collectors and technical enumerators will conduct recruitment and follow-up of infants in Ngounso, West Region of Cameroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place of work<\/strong>: Field Sites in Malentouen Health District, West Region, Cameroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Type of contract:<\/strong> Fixed-term contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Date of start of employment:<\/strong> 1 April, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Under the direct supervision of site coordinator, he\/she will conduct recruitment and follow-up of infants towards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Conducting the census in households according to plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Ensuring data entry in tablets and GPS recording during census and during study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Administer consent to eligible participants in households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Coordinating blood collection and malaria RDT testing for symptomatic cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Managing testing of hemoglobin and recording of results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Coordinating stool collection and temporary transport to field storage site. Sensitize the population on the study aims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Communicating with participants and orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skills, qualifications and professional experience required<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          At least a BSc in Science or Biomedical Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          An experience in data collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          previous experience in research setting will be an advantage<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Ability to interact with people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Demonstrated communications, and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Fluent in French and Working knowledge of English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Living in Malentouen, or West Region, Cameroon is an advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces enqu\u00eateurs proc\u00e9deront au recrutement et au suivi des nourrissons \u00e0 Ngounso, dans la r\u00e9gion de l’Ouest du Cameroun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lieu de travail<\/strong> : Sites d’\u00e9tude dans le district sanitaire de Malentouen, r\u00e9gion de l’Ouest Type de contrat: Contrat \u00e0 dur\u00e9e d\u00e9termin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Description de l’emploi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sous la supervision directe du coordonnateur du site, il\/elle effectuera le recrutement et le suivi des nourrissons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Participer au recensement dans les m\u00e9nages selon le plan valid\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Saisir les donn\u00e9es dans les tablettes et assurer l’enregistrement GPS pendant le recensement et l’\u00e9tude<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Administrer le consentement aux participants \u00e9ligibles dans les m\u00e9nages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Coordonner la collecte de sang et les tests RDT du paludisme pour les cas symptomatiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Assurer la gestion des tests d’h\u00e9moglobine et enregistrement des r\u00e9sultats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Coordonner la collecte des selles et le transport temporaire vers le site de stockage sur le terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Sensibiliser la population sur les objectifs de l’\u00e9tude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Communiquer avec les participants et assurer leur orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comp\u00e9tences, qualifications et exp\u00e9rience professionnelle requises<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Au moins une Licence en sciences ou en sciences biom\u00e9dicales<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Une exp\u00e9rience dans la collecte de donn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Une exp\u00e9rience ant\u00e9rieure dans un contexte de recherche sera un avantage Capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 interagir avec les gens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Comp\u00e9tences d\u00e9montr\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de communication et de relations interpersonnelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
