EVIHDAF<\/strong> is an international research and evaluation organization headquartered in Yaound\u00e9, Cameroon<\/strong>, which serves the West and Central Africa<\/strong> region. It provides services in research, evaluation and learning; data, analytics and information systems; and social and behavior change strategies. Its practice areas include Health and Health Systems, Nutrition and Food Security, and Agriculture and Livelihoods. We have a USAID-funded project office in Niamey, Niger, and a Data Unit satellite office in Parakou, Benin (www.evihdaf.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate who is experienced in qualitative research <\/strong>to fill the position of Research Officer. <\/strong>He\/she will provide support to existing projects, with focus on activities under a five-year (2022-2027), USAID-funded social and behavior change (SBC) research program named Agency for All<\/em>. He\/she will have wide\u2011ranging responsibilities, including with regard to study design and implementation, data collection and analysis, publications (Briefs, Working Papers, peer-reviewed articles) and dissemination. The positions require flexibility, strong organizational skills, willingness to work under pressure, and motivation to invest in the growth and development of EVIHDAF. The positions are based in our office in Yaound\u00e9, Cameroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preferred Skills\/Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Master\u2019s degree in public health, Sociology or the Social Sciences or a related field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– At least three years\u2019 experience in research in key areas including family planning and reproductive health (FP\/RH), maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), sexual and reproductive health (SRH), with focus on qualitative research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Fluency in English and strong writing and presentation skills in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, \u2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Ability to work under pressure, to be proactive and to make informed decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Fluency in French will be an added value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Publications in peer-reviewed journals and\/or presentations at conferences will be an asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Familiarity with quantitative data analysis software packages will be an added value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Familiarity with social media communications will be an added value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
