BEETLE HERITAGE HOLDING SA<\/strong> is currently recruiting for his headoffice a SHIPPING AGENT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shipping Agent <\/strong>will be expected to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BEFORE LOADING OF THE VESSEL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Contact the Procurement department and make orders for import.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Liaise with the transit department to verify if all import documents are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AFTER LOADING THE VESSEL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A-     <\/strong>BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF THE VESSEL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Request the documents below from the Ship\u2019s Master and check if no mistakes especially the values:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00fc  Draft B\/L<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00fc  Cargo plan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00fc  Cargo Manifest<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00fc  Ship Particulars<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Request proformas (03) from shipping and stevedoring companies and do advance payment via the accounting department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Collect the original B\/L from Receivers to be handed to Ship\u2019s Master when vessel berth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Send the list of trucks to be used for unloading to DPWS for billing and arrange for payment. The list of trucks could also be forwarded to the Stevedoring Company if they are to transport the goods for them to send to DPWS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Forward the name of \u201cLocalisation de Magasin Sous Palan\u201d of the Stevedore as well as the CAMCIS Manifest number from the shipping agent to the Transit Department to carry out the custom procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Make sure that custom clearing, \u201cprocedure d\u2019urgence\u201d, \u201cenl\u00e8vement sous palan\u201d, \u201cautorisation de d\u00e9barquement\u201d and ouverture des gu\u00e9rit had been carried out by the Transit Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Visit the warehouses and Silos and make sure they are ready to receive the goods (wheat)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Registers, Bordereau de livraison, Storekeeper, tallymen and other workers should be ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          The Logistic Manager should confirm to you the number of trucks in good condition available and if any more is needed, request the stevedoring or a logistic companies to provide for more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Communicate the expected time of arrival (ETA) and expected time of berthing (ETB) gotten from the ship\u2019s agent to all parties concern in the unloading process<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B-      <\/strong>AT THE QUAY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Hand original B\/L to the ship\u2019s Master for endorsement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Make sure the right port formalities had been done before unloading starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Health and Tally Customs must do their formalities before discharging begins, if not fine will be inputted<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Ensure vessel arrive with all seals intact<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Participate in the unsealing\/sealing of the vessel and see that it is done by a Certified Port Surveyor, Tally custom, Ship\u2019s crew, Stevedoring Agent (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Liaise with Stevedore to ensure that Stevedore\u2019s Dockers and discharging equipment (Grabs, Hoppers at least two, Fuck lift, big bags, broom, tarpaulin, as well as loader excavator i.e Caterpillar when needed) arrive in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Make Sealand workers are putting on their personal protecting equipment (PPE)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Check if Vessel\u2019s Tallymen, Stevedore Tallymen, Stevedore\u2019s Surveyor Tallymen (when used) and Receivers Surveyor Tallymen (when used) are onboard the vessel before discharging starts. Also verify at the quay that Tally Customs, Stevedore\u2019s Tallymen, Receivers Tallymen, Receivers Surveyor Tallymen are also present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          All documents (complete custom documents, register, bon de livraison) are availlable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Make daily reports such as Tally sheets, Letters of Protest, during the unloading process till ship\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Establish and sign final reports; letters of protests, statements of facts,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          At the end of unloading, collect Final reports; Statements of facts, Tally Sheets, Outturn report, from the Agent and Stevedore respectively as well as surveyors report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C-     <\/strong>AFTER DEPARTURE OF THE VESSEL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Scan and forward all sailing documents hereafter to the parties concern; DEX, Ship\u2019s Manager\/Owner etc: Statement of facts (SOF) Outturn report, Letters of Protest (if any), Port Clearance, Export Manifest (especially in the case of loading) within 48hrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          Request for final invoices from parties concern; Agent, Stevedore, Surveyor and arrange for payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKILLS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Have 03 to 05 years of experience at a similary position<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Have knowledge on operation of heavy vehicles and machinery, such as straddle carriers, fork lifters and ship cranes, to load and unload cargo from trucks, ships and rail transport services<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Knowledge on Position goods in the holds of the ship<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Knowledge on the security of cargo on ships using braces to hold it in place<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Carry out safety checks on equipment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Knowledge of health and safety procedures<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Possess skills how to handle different types of cargo, particularly wheat, other grains,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Knowledge of basic customs and shipping company documents<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Ability to interpret ship loading plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
