HEADA is a Cameroonian-based non-for-profit organization whose mission is to support global health and development programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of its program in Cameroon, HEADA is currently seeking to recruit two (02) suitable candidates for full-time positions as Global Health Protection Officers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The staff will be based in Yaounde and providing support to the Global Health Security Agenda currently being implemented by the organization in Cameroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These two (02) positions are for a fixed duration of 12 months each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Behaviors):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n o Must be able to work within a multidisciplinary public health team, interact effectively with people of all social, cultural, and educational backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Excellent written communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Comfort with use of spreadsheets and data collection, organization, and analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Familiarity with public health concepts and foundational frameworks including outbreak response, or emergency preparedness and response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Ability to combine pieces of information to form conclusions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate data from a variety of sources on a variety of public health related topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Demonstrate ability to work with local government, local and international organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Ability to identify problems and utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Demonstrated ability to protect confidential health information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Ability to assertively solve problems and clearly state expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Perform any other tasks assigned to him\/her by HEADA or his sponsor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n o Master\u2019s degree in public health, Epidemiology or any other related degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Have at least 5 years of experience in the field of public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n o Fluent in English and French.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Interested candidates should send in their cover letter and CV to the following address: Info@heada.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
