As such, ACMS works in cooperation with the government and its public and private sector partners to deliver highquality healthcare programs, reaching all populations in need. For over twenty-five years, ACMS has been providing the Cameroonian population with comprehensive, evidence-based public health interventions, including programs in reproductive health, malaria control, HIV and hepatitis, among others.<br>Join us!<br>The Association Camerounaise pour le Marketing Social (ACMS) has secured funding from the US Agency for International Development&rsquo;s (USAID) \u00ab\u00a0System to End the Malaria Burden Through Meaningful Engagement (SEMBE l)\u00a0\u00bb to support the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) team to lead and implement evidence-based malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment services at regional and community levels, focusing on the Far North region of Cameroon. This project also strengthens the Government&rsquo;s capacity to guide and promote local solutions in the fight against malaria, in line with the objectives of the Republic of Cameroon and in support of USAID&rsquo;s priorities outlined in the country&rsquo;s Development Cooperation Strategy 20202025 (CDCS).<br>Based in the Far North region, the project will implement a sustainable, evidence-based approach to malaria control and elimination, through four objectives:<br>Objective 1: Increase access to and use of quality malaria diagnostics, insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) and drug-based prevention and treatment services at facility and community levels.<br>Objective 2: Increase adoption of prevention and treatment-seeking behaviors for malaria and other febrile illnesses.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Objective 3: Improve access to and use of quality malaria data.<br>Objective 4: Strengthen health systems to optimize planning, coordination and management of the local response to malaria and other febrile diseases.<br>Your Contribution:<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide strategic direction and technical oversight for the implementation of program activities to address gaps in malaria-inpregnancy service delivery at national and sub-national levels, including community-facility linkages.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Promote WHO recommendations for intermittent treatment and prevention of malaria in pregnancy (IPTp) to ensure high coverage.\u00a0\u00a0 Support the intensification of intermittent prevention of malaria in pregnant women.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strengthen collaboration between the MNCH service and the malaria program to ensure the integration and expansion of malaria prevention and treatment services during pregnancy.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Actively participate in and contribute to malaria technical working groups on pregnancy, including the development and revision of national guidelines and strategies.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide technical assistance to NMCP and local partners to strengthen local capacity and systems service delivery.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate with health care providers, local authorities, community members and program team members to identify clinical training needs and support training design and implementation.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Participate in annual work planning and preparation of donor technical reports.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain excellent working relationships with country stakeholders.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Carry out document review of all available WHO tools (Guide, guidelines) to make them available to the project and the Ministry.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure regular briefing of project team members and PNLP on new information made available by WHO.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Participate in various meetings with partners.<br>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Carry out any other tasks related to the activities assigned to you.<br><strong>What are we looking for?<\/strong><br>We are looking for one (01) advisor on malaria during pregnancy (M\/F) who will embody the ACMS values listed below:<br>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Pragmatism: You jump in and maintain momentum even when things are ambiguous, and don&rsquo;t let perfection get ahead of sufficiency.<br>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Honesty: You&rsquo;re not afraid to speak up and say what&rsquo;s on your mind.<br>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Measurement: You set clear, challenging goals and hold yourself accountable for achieving measurable results.<br>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Commitment: You&rsquo;re independent and a free thinker, but you&rsquo;re willing to buy into the team&rsquo;s direction and commit to its success.<br>Basic Requirements:<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hold a (clinical) Diploma in Nursing or Medicine. A master&rsquo;s degree in public health is desirable in addition to the above qualifications.<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Have at least eight (08) years&rsquo; professional experience in the provision of health services, including at least 5 years&rsquo; experience in malaria management\/support in pregnancy services.<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience in substitution of diploma: Twenty-five (25) years of relevant professional experience in the provision of health services.\u00a0\u00a0 Desired experience with USAID and\/or other donors.<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience working in Cameroon ;<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Professional command of English and French.
