Impact Sant\u00e9 Afrique (ISA) is an African non-governmental organization led and coordinated
by women. ISA specializes in advocacy and strategic communication, with the main objective
of contributing to the improvement of the health of populations. Our mission is to strengthen
local civil society and empower affected communities to improve quality health services and
end malaria. As for our vision, we want to see all communities resilient and empowered to
lead healthy lives in a malaria-free Africa with people-centered health services that are
accessible, equitable and affordable to all.
We are looking for an Advocacy Expert Consultant. He\/She can work remotely or be based
in our headquarters in Cameroon.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The specific objectives of the mission are to:
\uf0b7 support ISA\u2019s advocacy team;
\uf0b7 Contribute to the development and manage the execution of the advocacy strategic
plan;
\uf0b7 Develop policy and advocacy actions to ensure the goals and strategic objectives align
with regional and global priorities.
\uf0b7 Lead the operational implementation of the strategy related to the development of
integrated advocacy and communication campaigns that ensure maximum impact,
effectiveness, and large-scale transformational change at both the policy and
community levels.
\uf0b7 Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships, networks, and alliances within and
beyond sectoral stakeholders, government counterparts, political leaders, and
private sector.
\uf0b7 Identify key gaps and opportunities in public policies where ISA’s advocacy
interventions can have a significant impact and lead to incremental change.
\uf0b7 Plan, guide, and pilot the use of innovations and successes from ISA\u2019s advocacy work
to influence policy makers and improve malaria programs.
\uf0b7 Ensure the achievements of advocacy programs targets in Cameroon and DRC.

QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong>
\uf0b7 Master\u2019s degree in Communications, or Advocacy, Social Sciences or related field.
\uf0b7 At least 8 years\u2019 experience in Communication or Advocacy.
\uf0b7 Experience in an advocacy role is essential.
\uf0b7 Excellent English writing skills and good French knowledge
\uf0b7 Ability to work in an international\/multicultural environment.
\uf0b7 Good knowledge of advocacy issues and actions, experience\/knowledge of African
and international associative networks.
\uf0b7 Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English
\uf0b7 and French to produce professional documents of national and international
\uf0b7 standards and to participate in policy discussions and debates.
\uf0b7 Excellent relationship management skills. Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
\uf0b7 Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and various
\uf0b7 stakeholders such as government officials, partners, community members, donors,
\uf0b7 CSOs, actors in other sectors, and senior policy makers.
\uf0b7 A positive and dynamic attitude.
\uf0b7 Strong organisational skills, work methodology: Ability to plan, prioritize and
organize own and others’ work; ability to work under pressure to meet established
deadlines.
