The U. S. Embassy in Yaound\u00e9<\/strong> is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of  Project Management Specialist \u2013 Peace and Governance (USAID\/Cameroon)<\/strong> (PDF-395 KB)<\/a> \u2013 Solicitation Number 72062423R10016<\/strong>. The closing date for this position is August 21, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong>  <\/em>all \u201cNOT ordinarily resident\u201d applicants must have the required work and\/or residency permits to be eligible for consideration<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to be considered for the position, a candidate must meet the Minimum Qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications will be pre-screened and only those that meet the Minimum Qualifications will be considered. These are the minimum qualifications necessary to be considered for the position:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a. Education<\/strong>: A minimum of a bachelor\u2019s degree in law, political science, international relations,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

public administration\/public policy, political economy, international development, international relations, or other related social science field is required. Additional coursework, including post-graduate studies in similar fields is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b. Prior Work Experience<\/strong>: A minimum of five years of professional work experience is<\/p>\n\n\n\n

required, including a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the democracy, rights and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

governance or related field, such as conflict prevention, countering violent extremism, civil<\/p>\n\n\n\n

society development and others. Demonstrated work experience in providing analysis and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

advice on complex programming issues, managing project activities for international<\/p>\n\n\n\n

organizations, using complex information technology systems to monitor and evaluate projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and results, and tracking budget execution and documentation is required. The candidate with a steady progression over time of increasing responsibilities in related work is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

c. Language Proficiency<\/strong>: Level 4 English and French both oral and written is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MARKET VALUE: CFA <\/strong>27<\/strong>,160,754 CFA \u2013 45,056,310 CFA <\/strong>equivalent to FSN-11<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In accordance with AIDAR Appendix J and the Local Compensation Plan of USAID\/Yaound\u00e9. Final compensation will be negotiated within the market value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non-Cameroonian citizens must attach copies of their permanent residency permit to their application to be eligible for consideration. No relocation expenses are provided to the job location, Yaound\u00e9-Cameroon. If transportation to Yaound\u00e9 is required, it will be the employee\u2019s responsibility.
