Identification
Position Title: Logistics Assistant
Reports to: Country Logistics Coordinator
Duty station: Mamf\u00e9
Type of contract: Fixed Term
Duration of the contract: 04 months
Availability: September 2023
Missions and Responsibilities<\/strong>
The Logistics Assistant ensures the programming and coordination of the logistics activities of
the INTERSOS base in Bamenda:
\u25aa Responsible for procurement procedures (contracts, quotes, quality and price evaluations)
for goods and services according to INTERSOS and donor requirements.
\u25aa Negotiate, monitor and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
\u25aa Conduct market assessments and update the list of suppliers in coordination with the
logistics coordinator and the administrative\/financial department.
\u25aa Process vehicle service requests and ensure that the fleet is checked and maintained
regularly.
\u25aa Monitor fuel consumption limits and use of vehicle logbook, service logbook, oil logbook
and other fleet formats and models. Calculate personal fuel consumption usage.
\u25aa Ensure vehicles are insured accordingly and report any incidents on a monthly basis.
\u25aa Ensure proper documentation of the vehicle lease, insurance, identification, mechanical
inspection, etc.
\u25aa Conduct a monthly physical inventory of all IT-related assets.
\u25aa Conduct a quarterly physical inventory of assets and furniture.
\u25aa Responsible for proper maintenance and monitoring of office assets and equipment such
as air conditioning, laptops, printers, etc.
\u25aa Ensure regular liaison with the administrative department and the logistics coordinator.
\u25aa Monitor guest house requirements and necessary maintenance on a weekly basis and
follow up with expats.
\u25aa Organize induction for new staff on Car SOPs and the use of INTERSOS assets.
\u25aa Act as a logistics focal point in Bamenda.
\u25aa Perform any other related duties requested by management.
Job Requirements
Education Diploma or professional training in logistics
Experience Have a qualification and professional experience in humanitarian NGO
logistics
Language English and French
Knowledge
Mastery of the computer tool MS Office Complete environment,
General Principles of Automotive Mechanics, Basic Knowledge of
Customs Clearance and Transportation, Principles of Inventory, Supply
and Fleet Management
Skills
Excellent team management and business planning skills
Good team spirit and conflict management
Flexibility
Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
Completed reporting skills
Initiative
Rigor in the work
