Vacancy – Senior Operations Manager<\/p>\n\n\n\n
EVIHDAF is an international research and evaluation organization headquartered in Yaounde,
Cameroon, which serves the West and Central Africa region. It provides services in Research,
Evaluation & Learning; Data, Analytics & Information Systems; and Social & Behavior Change Strategies.
Its practice areas include Health and Health Systems, Nutrition and Food Security, and Agriculture and
Livelihoods. We have a USAID-funded project office in Niamey, Niger, and a Data Unit satellite office in
Parakou, Benin (www.evihdaf.com).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate to fill the position of Senior Operations Manager. S\/he will have wide-ranging responsibilities, overseeing finance, administration, human resources, contracts and procurement; ensuring consistency of policies, procedures, management systems, processes and practices with USG and other donor regulations; overseeing the development \/ updating and Implementation of policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to finance,
administration, human resources, and procurement\/subcontracting; leading the development of
management\/operational systems that are compliant with local laws and regulations, the organization\u2019s policies and SOPs, and donor requirements; establish and maintain healthy and transparent accounting procedures and fiscal controls for all financial aspects; leading budget development for existing or new activities; overseeing financial reports to donors, and provide inputs to work plans, reports and updates to donors; contributing to business development activities in order to expand our project portfolio; being responsible for legal compliance, risk management, and insurance across countries; providing necessary documentation to questions arising from external reviews or audits; performing other tasks as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preferred Skills\/Prerequisites<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25aa Master\u2019s degree in business administration, accounting or other relevant discipline;
\u25aa Be perfectly bilingual (English and French);
\u25aa At least six years of operations management experience in health or development programs in
Africa, including skills in procurement\/subcontracting, compliance, financial management, and
client management;
\u25aa Proven experience with USG\/USAID-funded programs and knowledge of applicable regulations
including with regard to indirect costs\/NICRA;
\u25aa Analytical and organizational skills demonstrated by ability to work independently and within a
team, assess priorities with attention to detail;
\u25aa Strong interpersonal communication, writing and oral skills in both English and French;
\u25aa Ability to analyze, summarize and report information;
\u25aa Ability to work in a team.
