This is a global role and the candidate will support our Management Team as well as our local teams in Sub Sahara Africa. This is an opportunity in a fascinating and rapidly growing field and in a start-up environment. MPower is building a platform supplying and financing small scale decentralized solar infrastructure in emerging markets via a B2B2C partnership model. Our solar products are accompanied by a software as well as financing solutions that allows customers to pay in monthly installments. This position is an exciting opportunity with high impact in a fascinating and rapidly growing field. This means you can have a big impact in an evolving start-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your areas of work will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Outlining and improving foundational policies and procedures and their implementation to provide employees with clear guidance and structure for the work environment. These policies and processes give employees a point of reference for standard business conduct (e.g. recruitment documents, hours of work  overtime, employee leave policy, payroll procedure, employee performance records, social media policy);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Supporting recruiting processes and onboarding of new employees (with hiring managers) which will infuse a better structure to the entire talent journey; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Ensuring that new hires are welcomed into their team, trained and given the development they need and further having a point of contact to go to with any &amp;ldquo;people-based&amp;rdquo; concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Organizing trainings on various topics incl. on IT tools such as the shared drive, internal communication and other tools;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Development of cultural and online team events;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Support the management for growth incl. supporting with hiring plans, conducting research, updating the organizational chart and creating scalable processes (e.g. hiring and onboarding);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Ensuring that important records and documentation are kept in order (incl. team list, employment contracts, business paperwork, resumes, performance evaluations, leave, accidents and more);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Exploring HR software programs and tools to streamline and improve the HR process;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Supporting management in nurturing an inclusive work environment which leads to happier employees, more innovation, and a stronger desire to remain with the company, all of which improve the bottom line.&amp;nbsp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Required skills would include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf A demonstrated capacity to take initiative, overcome challenges and work collaboratively through relevant work or project experience;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf First work experience is mandatory ( 2 years);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Experience in an HR role is mandatory;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf A bachelor or master degree in business administration, organizational leadership, general management or a related field is desired;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Excellent knowledge of office package (especially PowerPoint and excel); <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Proficient knowledge in French is mandatory;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Team player and eager to learn new tools and roll-up sleeves to get the job done;You will be able to take ownership for your ideas contributing your own ideas and opinions and experience a start-up environment where innovative thinking is required and self-initiative appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The position is available immediately and is Yaounde; (Cameroon) based.
