Union Bank of Cameroon plc is presently in search of a CREDIT RISK & RECOVERY ASSISTANT for the Credit Risk and Recovery
Department at its head office, Douala Cameroon. Opportunity is open for both internal and external candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main Mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To work under absolute guidance and supervision in carrying out various assigned administrative tasks in the Credit & Recovery
department and as directed by the Credit team
Reporting line: Credit Administrator<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  • Ensure the review and issuance of all attestations bank wide;<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Ensure the review of loans and cautions files for correctness and completeness before approval and disbursement;<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Ensure the cleanness of our contingent liabilities portfolio,<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Follow up of doubtful cautions to be released<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Update register of all credit and cautions files sent from the branches;<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Update register of all incoming and outgoing mails of the Department<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Follow up documents sent for signatures and ensure compliance with SLA,<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Update register of all files sent to Treasury & Loans Operations for booking;<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Ensure all files sent to Treasury & Loans Operations have been processed,<\/li>
  • Ensure all commissions on attestations, cautions and loans are well collected and corresponding accounts impacted on a daily basis,<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Follow up repayment of unpaid installments and doubtful loans<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Prepare Reminder Letters to delinquents customers<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Follow up payments of our legal partners (Lawyers, Bailiffs, Detective, Real Estate Experts, etc<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Ensure proper filing of all doubtful files, all correspondences with customers, and any other important document of the<\/li>
  • department<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Follow up all recovery actions in order to get the loans repaid<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Prepare data for the departmental reports<\/li>
  • \uf0fc Execute any other task assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Position Requirements:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    • \uf0fc Basic credit management skills<\/li>
    • \uf0fc Basic knowledge in credit products<\/li>
    • \uf0fc Basic knowledge on loan recovery strategy<\/li>
    • \uf0fc Good organizational and disciplinary skills<\/li>
    • \uf0fc Ability to meet deadlines<\/li>
    • \uf0fc Confidentiality and Professional secrecy<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Behavioral skills and Candidate profile<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      • \uf0fc Absolute integrity and a good listener<\/li>
      • \uf0fc Holder of a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Law<\/li>
      • \uf0fc A Master\u2019s degree will be an added advantage<\/li>
      • \uf0fc Attention to detail, multitasking abilities<\/li>
      • \uf0fc Proactivity, cooperation and team spirit<\/li>
      • \uf0fc Ability to work under pressure<\/li>
      • \uf0fc Proof of experience will be an added advantage<\/li>
      • \uf0fc Mastery of the English and French Languages<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
