Union Bank of Cameroon Plc is presently in search of Information Technology Assistants in its head office, Douala –
Cameroon. Opportunity is open for both internal and external candidates
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  • \uf0d8 Web and Application Administration
    • \uf0b7 Build functional and easy-to-use websites<\/li>
    • \uf0b7 Test websites across browsers, operating systems and device<\/li>
    • \uf0b7 Ensure site security by setting up firewalls and login pages<\/li>
    • \uf0b7 Optimize loading speeds and capacity<\/li>
    • \uf0b7 Debug pages and fix broken links or images<\/li>
    • \uf0b7 Update website content and review SEO<\/li>
    • \uf0b7 Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g. traffic, conversions)<\/li>
    • \uf0b7 Troubleshoot failures of applications running in the bank<\/li>
    • \uf0b7 Provide front line support to applications running in the bank<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
    • \uf0d8 System Administration
      • \uf0b7 Operate\/administer computer & telecommunications software, networks and information systems solutions.<\/li>
      • \uf0b7 Design and implement LAN and WAN public and private networks in branches<\/li>
      • \uf0b7 Ensure timely backups of all necessary systems data<\/li>
      • \uf0b7 Ensure high standards of systems availability across range of physical conditions<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • \uf0d8 User Systems
        • \uf0b7 Support all users, upgrade and maintain software ensuring that all application are up and running<\/li>
        • \uf0b7 Provide basic hardware repair, network and support as needed<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • \uf0d8 IT Management & Administration
          • \uf0b7 Manage IT service providers to ensure provision of optimal service levels within the organization<\/li>
          • \uf0b7 Train staff on use of various technologies in use<\/li>
          • \uf0b7 Document office IT systems<\/li>
          • \uf0b7 Adapt systems documentation as necessary<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Position Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
            • \uf0d8 Knowledge on Project Management<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Knowledge of Database Administration<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Good knowledge on Computer Networking (Protocols, Routing, Switching, LAN, WAN, Firewall DNS, DHCP, etc\u2026)<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Knowledge on MS Windows Servers Operating Systems<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Knowledge on MS Exchange 2013 and MS Office<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Good organizational and disciplinary skills<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Good aptitude of versality<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Ability to work in project-mode and meet deadlines<\/li>
            • Behavioral skills and Candidate profile<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Minimum of B. Sc degree or equivalent in computer sciences, project management or other related disciplines.<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Minimum of Three (3) year experience. An experience in the banking sector will be an added advantage<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Proficient in HTML\/CSS, XML, PHP, Java; knowledge of SQL and JavaScript is preferred.<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Reliability and quality orientation, proactivity, cooperation and team spirit<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Ability to understand risks related to activities within his or her job responsibilities<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Ability to express self in English and French<\/li>
            • \uf0d8 Strong sense of Rigor, Synthesis and analysis<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
